I am 30, engaged to be married, and drowning financially.

I have had a very turbulent career, despite my career being part of my identity. I am on the Autistic Spectrum with severe mental illness, and I have never been able to hold down a job for more than a year. I have had over 25 jobs since age 15.

I have already changed career paths before. A combination of the Xiden regime, the recent election year, and the disruption in the tech sector, I was fucked royally when I lost my job back in mid-July of last year. I am now reliant on social security disability, and I am fearful to pursue my career further because I risk losing my only health insurance: Medicare.

I am now living at my parent's house. At least I have my own autonomous living area. I don't see myself being able to afford homeownership in the near future. I am actually struggling to pay my bills and the only few assets I have: a car and an old RV.

Hey there, so, to be brief, I am going to university and I sometimes see this beautiful girl walking on campus. I don't know her at all and never spoke to her. I'm trying to work up the courage to, the next time I see her, just walk up to her and say something along the lines of "Hey, can I ask you a question? I'm in a hurry, I know this is really random and I understand if you're not interested, but I saw you and thought you were beautiful and wanted to see if we could exchange numbers" or something like that. She's probably busy and I don't want to take up too much of her time.

If a guy approached you like this and was respectful about it you know, would you be ok with this? I have never done something like this.

As society has become more socially progressive, it’s hard to believe that dating outside one’s race was once a major taboo. Most people I know have had at least one interracial relationship in their life, even if it didn’t end up working out. How about you?

Do you think she’s right to take the blame for how he turned out?

I voted “the woman is to blame”—not because she’s responsible for all of his choices, but because her betrayal was the catalyst. He wasn’t abusive, cruel, or unstable before. He was loving, faithful, and committed. She shattered the foundation of trust he built, and now she’s realizing that her actions didn’t just end a marriage—they changed a man.
That doesn’t mean he’s right to become hateful or destructive afterward, but it’s disingenuous for her to act like his transformation came out of nowhere. Actions have consequences, and sometimes those consequences don’t just break hearts—they harden them.

I chose Option 2 – Men’s struggles shouldn’t be framed through the lens of how they affect women. That’s not empathy—that’s ego wrapped in victimhood.
This article tries to sound supportive of men but ultimately centers women as the ones who suffer because of men’s loneliness, as if men being emotionally isolated is a burden on them. Imagine framing women’s depression or trauma by saying, “Well, men suffer when women are emotionally distant.” It would be considered sexist and dismissive—and rightly so.
Emotional labor exists in both directions. If a woman is exhausted from carrying the emotional weight in a relationship, that’s a valid issue. But that doesn’t mean men’s pain is hers to fix—or that his isolation is somehow her responsibility. That kind of framing only deepens the gender divide and discourages men from seeking help.
If we actually want to support men, we need to talk to them, not about how their pain makes things harder for everyone else.
