The Hindu Supreme Being is not a human. It is a lot like the Judaeo-Christian God... in fact, the Hindu name for the Supreme Being is actually a Hebrew word, believe it or not... so there has actually been some cross-talk between the two religions in the ancient past.
Idol worship and "Graven Images" are forbidden in Judaeo-Christianity, because a physical representation of God is misleading. The "Greatest Conceivable Being" is not a purely physical Being. He is a Metaphysical Being.
Judaeo-Christianity is actually NOT "Monotheistic". In the Bible, when "God" creates the Universe and mankind, He says, "Let US create..." and is referred to as "Elohim" which is a plural word for "Gods". Further, both Moses and Daniel referred to the Hebrew God as "The God of Gods" (Plural).
In any case, the Hebrews got this mostly right. The True Creator, the Greatest Conceivable Being, should not be visualized as an idol or a human. Balaam said, "God is not a Man... neither the Son of Man" (Numbers 23: 19,) which is precisely why the Jews had Jesus of Nazareth Crucified for Blasphemy, and perhaps rightfully so.
So I would say do not visualize God as an idol, human, or animal, or any other physical thing. God is not purely physical, as I said, God is Metaphysical.

It is not anybodies place to. Judge anyone's religion. If you take away a man's religion you take away his humanity..
The Quran strictly tells you to mind your own religion and let others be.
Quote: Laqum dhi nuqum waliyadeen. (to them their own religion and to you your own)

Besides Hinduism and ancient European paganisms, there is also modern paganism which reveres goddesshood and goddesses.
A lot of neopaganism does not literally believe in a pantheon of gods, instead seeing less personal male and female divine forces in the universe. However the traditional pagan deities are still focused on as useful archetypes for worship and magic. And some neopagans are radical polytheists - they really do believe in real, metaphysical gods and goddesses.
Personally I am not into worship, as I do not believe in obeisance or hierarchy. But many pagans do. And the inclusion of female divinity as well as priestesshood and the opportunity to locate femininity as well as masculinity in the cosmic is one of the main reasons more and more people are turning to paganism, as this has been progressively removed from the Abrahamic religions over the millennia.
