If you do then what made your faith in destiny so strong?
If you don’t, why not?

I’m undecided. Some people have such absolutely amazing lives that it’s as if they were born under a lucky star. Then you have another person whose entire life was just sad, painful, and terrible.

The life of Jackson Frank is one of the most tragic I’ve ever known. I mean from early childhood all the way till he died. Just suffering. It’s pretty depressing.
How can this be? How can we go from Kim Kardashian or George Bush to someone dying of starvation some place? Is it some people’s destiny to grow up rich and privileged? And another’s to be poor and have to claw for every penny they can just to eat a can of beans? One kid gets to go to school at Yale. Another kid doesn’t even graduate highschool because he had to run away from home.
🤔🤷♂️
Who knows. It’s all a mystery. There are no answers. No one can say “everything happens for a reason” and shrug while a five year old has leukemia. It’s insulting. But this is how some people get through life, I suppose. Telling themselves that it all makes sense, somehow, in the cosmic order of things. 🙄
To an extent, sure! I believe that things are ultimately deterministic if we know every factor in play. That does equate to the same thing as it being destiny at the finish-line. If not on the way to it.
Of course while I believe that in theory I very much live life with the assumption of free will since that appears healthier. Double-think is and remains a useful concept.
little bit trust on the destiny part but mostly i believe in taking action however if your stars are in your favor your path for taking action will get easy so i think it goes hand in hand
I believe that some things just felt right to do at that time, but I wouldn't call it destiny.

In the meantime, I would appreciate it if you could comment on my question.
Yes, to me it's like we are pre-programmed to a certain extent (Nature vs Nuture debate), where while we have a feeling of being free, yet we are governed by rules in this life. So I do believe we all have a destiny of sorts.
I don't know if you'd necessarily call it "destiny", but I believe that nothing happens by accident
Yes, I believe in destiny, I used to believe that our fate is in our own hands, and we can create a beautiful homeland with our own hard work, but after years of experience, I gradually recognize that God dominate our destiny.
no, I am more proactive... I don't like to leave most things to chance
