How can I pray effectively?

I really need help and guidance. I am really in a bad place emotionally and spiritually. I keep asking god for help and to remove the obstacles that are causing me pain and nothing. I really need help how to communicate with hid better

Make sure your wants and desires line up with God’s “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Believe that God answers prayer

Obstacles and pain are part of life. You can't see it now nor you care to but down the road, years from now when it's done, you will be grateful for the pain and obstacles as the purpose is to strengthen you and make you better as a person if you have the right attitude.

When the Roman's needed to grow their empire they would kill all the adult men in the town and rape the dead men's wives. If your God didn't help those poor girls what makes you think your god is gonna listen to your words. Be proactively and take care of your shit

What the Romans did? yeah, I completely agree. Or showing an extreme real-life example to prove a point? Disagree those poor women probably prayed to any God that would listen, but we already know their terrible fates. The point is if you want your problems taken care of, you gotta do it yourself as putting your hands together and praising a god that allowed the above to happen clearly isn't working out
