I had a friend, not anymore, had to separate due to beliefs and energy, but I wasn't always a follower of God that obeyed God, I was a rebellious teenager that thought he knew what was doing so I made many mistakes and being with the wrong crowd was one of them, this guy started getting into crystals, just rocks right, sike, the deeper he got into that crystal stuff he started hearing voices that told him what he wanted to hear basically, he thought it was God for a while until it started leading him to drugs, he started using psychedelics and started talking to these so claimed good spirits and he started talking about how they opened his eyes he started believing in the universe talking to him and he started getting convinced that he was immortal and powerful and that he has a third eye and that he can do who knows what, you can imagine he was living with all 7 deadly sins, one day we confronted him and asked him if he ever considered the thought that maybe these spirits that he was talking to might be evil and his response was "I ain't gonna lie...(smirking)" that was his response so it's like he was falling into an acceptance of the evil which from personal experience if you let the dark consume you, you can end up accepting it and find a comfort in it which is what he was doing, one time we gave him a Bible and he screamed he started shaking in fear, we started speaking to him about God and he took the Bible, I don't know if he ever read it or if he still has it but since then I separated and since then I don't know what he is on but yep, true story.
