I tend to resonate with these the most in my own way:

• Utilitarianism - Belief that the moral worth of an action is determined by its contribution to overall happiness and the reduction of suffering, prioritizing the greatest good for the greatest number of people.

• Communitarianism - Valuing the importance of shared values, social harmony, and community cohesion, emphasizing the interconnectedness of individuals within a community.

• Empiricism and Scientific Naturalism - The belief that knowledge is derived from sensory experience and that the scientific method provides the most reliable means of understanding the natural world.

• Determinism - The belief that all events, including human actions, are ultimately predetermined and that free will is an illusion, with every choice having an inevitable outcome.

• Moral Relativism - The belief that ethical standards are culturally and contextually dependent, and there is no universal moral truth applicable to all societies.

• Nihilism - The belief that life lacks inherent meaning or value, and all beliefs and values are baseless.

• Pragmatism - The belief that the truth of an idea is determined by its practical outcomes and real-world effectiveness.

• Absurdism - Finding meaning in accepting the inherent absurdity of the human condition, emphasizing the search for personal meaning in the face of a seemingly indifferent universe.

there's things i can know and thing's i can't know. i see statements about things i can't know as bullshit by default. and i try to life my life in such a way that i do not inhibit other people in striving for their goals unless their goals directly negatively affect me.

@alexiah Please forgive me for being a wise ass. As a prior 'philosophy' student, I learned that one doesn't have a 'philosophy' per se. Philosophy is a 'study' as is Sociology, psychology, which are, themselves, 'soft sciences' as is Philosophy, so asking that is similar to asking what is your psychology of life?

The word is so mis-used now days, no one seems to notice that the usage is wrong... what we/they should be asking is "what is your point of view"

So, if you forgive me for being a 'smart ass' ... let me say my POV in life is like the Bond movie..."Live And Let Die" ...

I don't know if I have a philosophy. I'm a materialist -- this life is it.

I'd say the closest school of thought that resembles my ideas would be Stoicism. Mixed with a bunch of other principles and thoughts.

No actual label. There are types of philosophy usually denoting the author. I like Hegelianism.

Personally, I’d say reason and facts but acknowledging emotions are more “meta” but valid. And communication usually solves emotional issues.
