I'm not religious, but I'd love for it to happen. I've fantasized about it when I'm trying to sleep.

Certainly! Here’s a brief explanation for each question:

      1. "Do they not then reflect on the Qur'an?" (Surah An-Nisa, 4:82):
      - This question encourages readers to ponder the teachings and messages of the Qur'an deeply, highlighting the importance of understanding its wisdom and guidance.

      2. "So where are you going?" (Surah At-Takwir, 81:26):
      - This question asks people to consider the direction of their lives and actions, urging them to think about their ultimate goals and the afterlife.

      3. "Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and the earth?" (Surah Luqman, 31:20):
      - This question prompts reflection on the blessings and resources Allah has provided, encouraging gratitude and recognition of Allah's power and generosity.

      4. "Is there any deity with Allah?" (Surah An-Naml, 27:60):
      - This rhetorical question emphasizes the oneness of Allah, challenging any notions of polytheism and reinforcing the concept of monotheism.

      5. "Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah?" (Surah Al-Hadid, 57:16):
      - This question calls on believers to cultivate humility and sincerity in their faith, urging them to let their hearts be softened by the remembrance of Allah.

      6. "Then where are you going?" (Surah Al-Mutaffifin, 83:36):
      - Similar to the earlier question, this asks people to contemplate their life choices and the paths they are following, nudging them towards self-awareness and accountability.

      7. "Did We not create you from a despised water (semen)?" (Surah Al-Mursalat, 77:20):
      - This question reminds humans of their humble origins, encouraging humility and a sense of perspective about one's existence and dependence on Allah.

      8. "Have We not made the earth a resting place?" (Surah An-Naba, 78:6):
      - This question points out the earth's suitability for human life, prompting gratitude for the provisions and stability that Allah has created.

These questions from the Qur'an are designed to provoke thought, reflection, and self-examination, leading to greater awareness and understanding of one's faith, purpose, and the signs of Allah's creation.

I don't remember any of this when I read the Quran. Is this one of those "side-teaching" things like the Jews and Christians have? I was actually thinking of Christian's "Rapture idea" where all the holy people disappear, and then I get to bang all the chicks.

They are a fiction designed to placate people with hope that some god will make their lives better for them so they don't have to be bothered with figuring out how to improve their own lives. This is largely because the way to improve their own lives traditionally involves guillotines for the people who are telling the fiction.

I very much look forward to the rapture. Hopefully He’ll come back before I die so I don’t have to die.

Do you take the story of the tortoise and the hare seriously? ... or does the moral of the story speak out to you?
      Fox and the grapes?
      3 little pigs?

See, I think ancient teachings didn't go wrong with telling bullshit stories to get a moral point across... it's the people that tried to say this is real even though it obviously isn't... the bad apples that spoiled the bunch. Draw out of it the moral meaning and that's when it becomes gold. ... If it's old texts though... realize it may be politically manipulated from a time where the religious part mattered.

In Islamic eschatology, the belief in the end of the world and the Day of Resurrection is detailed in the Qur'an and Hadith. Here is a brief explanation of the key points:

      1. Signs of the End Times: Islam outlines various minor and major signs that will precede the end of the world, including moral decay, widespread injustice, natural disasters, and specific events like the appearance of the Mahdi and the return of Jesus (Isa).

      2. Destruction of the World: The Qur'an describes the Day of Judgment (Yawm al-Qiyamah) as a cataclysmic event where the physical world will be destroyed. Mountains will crumble, the seas will boil, and the sky will be torn apart. This is often referred to as the "Hour" (As-Sa'ah).

      - Surah Al-Zalzalah (99:1-3): "When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake and the earth discharges its burdens and man says, 'What is [wrong] with it?'"

      3. Resurrection: After the destruction, all humans will be resurrected from their graves. Their bodies will be restored, and they will be brought back to life to face judgment.

      - Surah Al-Hajj (22:7): "And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves."

      4. Judgment: On the Day of Judgment, individuals will be judged by Allah based on their deeds, intentions, and faith. The Qur'an and Hadith describe this as a time when everyone's actions will be weighed, and they will be held accountable for their lives.

      - Surah Al-Zalzalah (99:6-8): "That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it."

      5. Reward and Punishment: Based on the judgment, individuals will either be rewarded with paradise (Jannah) or punished in hell (Jahannam). Paradise is depicted as a place of eternal bliss, while hell is described as a place of severe torment.

      - Surah Al-Ghashiyah (88:8-10): "Faces, that Day, will be joyful, satisfied with their striving, in an elevated garden."
      - Surah Al-Ghashiyah (88:4-5): "Entering to burn in a scorching fire, given drink from a boiling spring."

This belief in the end times, resurrection, and final judgment serves as a reminder for Muslims to live righteously, uphold justice, and remain steadfast in their faith.

In Islamic eschatology, the signs of the Day of Judgment (Yawm al-Qiyamah) are divided into minor and major signs. These signs are derived from the Qur'an and Hadith and indicate the approaching end of the world.

      ### Minor Signs
Minor signs are numerous and occur over an extended period. Some key minor signs include:

      1. Widespread immorality and corruption: Increased indecency, dishonesty, and disregard for religious and moral values.
      2. Loss of trust and widespread cheating: Trust will become scarce, and people will engage in fraudulent behavior.
      3. Increase in murders and violence: An increase in killing and bloodshed.
      4. Excessive pride and arrogance: People will become more arrogant and boastful.
      5. Abundance of wealth: Wealth will become so abundant that people will struggle to find recipients for charity.
      6. Prevalence of usury and adultery: Interest-based transactions and adultery will become common.
      7. Construction of tall buildings: Competing to build higher and higher structures.
      8. Disappearance of knowledgeable people: Religious knowledge will decrease as scholars pass away.
      9. Frequent natural disasters: Increased occurrences of earthquakes, floods, and other calamities.
      10. Obedience to parents diminishes: Children will disobey their parents and treat them harshly.
      11. Widespread drinking of alcohol: Alcohol consumption will become common.
      12. Sudden death: There will be an increase in sudden and unexpected deaths.

      # 10 Major Signs
Major signs are more specific and dramatic events that will directly precede the Day of Judgment. Theyinclude:

      1. Appearance of the Mahdi: A righteous leader who will restore justice and faith, ruling for a period before the end times.
      2. Appearance of the Dajjal (Antichrist): A false messiah who will deceive many people, performing apparent miracles.
      3. Return of Jesus (Isa): Jesus will return to defeat the Dajjal and establish peace.
