What I mean by luck is the supernatural force that prevents people from experiencing something that harms them, and/or when someone experiences more beneficial events.

Yes, but not as a magical force. More like a collection of things left up to probability being better or worse for certain people. Some people have had a bunch of good things go their way, others have had a ton of bad things come their way. Through no fault of their own.

I still think people create most of their own circumstances, but that doesn't mean that luck doesn't absolutely alter people's lives, for better or worse.

I do believe some people are somewhat more lucky than others... though I am also fully aware that generally most people tend to remember the 'Bad' better than the 'Good' and thus may think they are more unlucky than others while they are not.

Yes

I have had 5 suicide attempts; 1st time 60 painkillers; the other times I tried hanging.

On the 3rd hanging attempt, so my 4th suicide attempt, I was unconscious... but the cord snapped and I woke up on the bathroom floor.

By all means I should have died on the 18th of September 2021... but I am still here.

I don't believe in 'Divine Intervention', and I am not sure if I am actually lucky to have failed: But some people would say this constitutes to being EXTREMELY LUCKY!

Damn buddy sorry to hear that. But, yes that's what I mean. I don't necessarily mean divine intervention, rather, luck is the thing we don't understand and can be attributed to divine intervention, although, not necessarily (since that is attributed to religion exclusively). It's the thing that kind of exists and it saves us from bad events; like the ones you described, or gives some movie star their *lucky break* into the movie industry.

Thank you... yup, fully agree with what you've said.

If not Divine Intervention saved me... something else decided it was not my time; logical explanation would be 'Luck', especially if nothing else would/ could apply.

Physics of course played a role; Cables are made to snap at a certain weight to prevent suicides. Because I am slightly on the light side for someone of my, average stature, I may well have stayed under the threshold for the capable to snap until the very 'last moment'

It definitely does. Some people are born into wealth, talents, good looks, opportunities, and never have to deal with hardships in their life. They literally have life on easy mode. Then there's people born into poverty, with health issues, disfigurations, never have any opportunities, only deal with hardships, and have to fight for everything they have.

We are not born equal as some people may believe. And luck does exist.

I don't see luck as something supernatural... statistically every situation is possible... some are just less likely to happen :D
