What do guys think of religious girls who go to church often?

I know a girl that was raised in Baptist church though her parents divorced so it was her mom and brother that attended. Seemed like the girl next door type was involved in youth group activities even spent time with her family outside church. Though behind closed doors she was the exact opposite to her mother, being rebellious and just angry toward about everything like PMS. Teen years (16-19) basically lead her to getting pregnant with her boyfriend and getting married.

I met church girls in my 20's who thought they were "perfect" or "stuck up" just cause they were brought up in church as children. Just rubbed me the wrong way like you act all holy in church singing and getting involved in activities. Which I would really love for a church girl to be honest and not put up a act.

Brainwashed. They live in a box, unable to be genuine to themselves because they’re too busy being told what they are supposed to be.

And I would know because I married one. What a nightmare. I thought I’d be getting a loyal submissive housewife and I realized, it was this very mentality that was the problem. She lived thinking this was her purpose and she wasn’t happy with it. So I married somebody who had zero image of herself, no life dreams or aspirations other than serve husband and make babies.

Unfortunately, that's all it is these days. There are so many churches with bad teaching, pastors, leadership, community, etc that going to church isn't always a good sign.

I have to make sure that her church is a good well-rounded church that is focused on God rather than ourselves. Because here's the thing about Christians, we are not better. The Bible tells us over and over again that we are saved through God's mercy and might, not through our own, and that we are just as sinful as everyone who isn't a Christian if not more sinful because we have God and still choose to sin. Unfortunately, many Christians (and churches) either go overboard on holiness and become hypocritical, or throw the Bible away and give up on trying to honor God. Both ways are very earthly and self-centered.

That's why church has to be about God. When the church and its people are about God, they can show care, grace, and love to those who are not believers or who are believers but have sinned (every Christian ever except Jesus). And we can do this while still pointing to God and helping each other honor him.

Aside from all that, even good churches will have people who just go to church to find people to date 🤷‍♂️

My type but you have to be so careful just because someone goes to church doesn't make someone automatically a good person. Some people are hypocrites, lukewarm, and then there are some who don’t even really believe at all.

They do it to keep a public image and reputation. But behind closed doors they’re doing another thing. It’s also to make themselves feel better as well about thr choices they’re making…. Notice I said making in present tense. It’s not that there aren’t people who genuinely have repented of their transgressions and are doing the best they can to fix it.

They just keep on doing it they’re just hiding it now. It’s the same for guys who go to church. Just be aware that there is a lot of people pretending to be someone they’re not

I wouldn’t judge, as long as I didn’t have to go myself I guess. I’d give money so she can give a donation to help keep the Church going though I wouldn’t go unless it is Christmas or some other reason I don't know.

Guys who are looking for a woman they can use for sex and discard will generally dislike.

I’m not to big on church girls because the girls who I’ve met that went to church seem to be too extreme in trying to push god on me. No matter your beliefs they always think you’re the one who is wrong. So no I’m not big on church girls for a serious relationship.

Some guys looking for serious relationships think these girls are the real deal because they are traditional, conservative loyal women who are virgin when they meet them.
For others, they are not worth it because they want to have sex before marriage.
Some of these girls have unrealistic expectations regarding men. They want a virgin man who had no woman before them, but not an incel. A handsome charismatic man who waited for them
