Why would you go to God if you still don't get peace, answered prayers or improvement?

I would like some real life testimonies if possible. But what's the point? Seriously. Personally, I've prayed for positive change but have been met with negative. The usual loneliness, depression, anger, etc that most people get at one point (mine is more often personally). If God knows what we are going through and our thoughts but continues to not intervene why even pray to him? Of course I can be grateful I have a job and a home and some money to buy food (obviously the economy globally kinda sucks right now). But those few things do not fix all of the other issues. And I've looked for guidance, been thrown scripture at, told "all you need is Jesus and God ", yet things still stay the same and have for years. Even with job changes, relocating, meeting new people. I know I'm not perfect but I do happen to be doing well for myself considering it's just me. And of course growth is forever but when you get no sort of positive during long periods of growth it makes you wonder well what's the point if things don't change? And haven't changed?
I'm not hoping for a Bugatti or 5 billion dollars or 3 vacation homes or expenses clothes or jewelry. I could care less. It just feel likes I've been pranked by Christianity and it's promises. Can someone provide some sort of clarity on why people should continue the faith if nothing changes? I know it's a relationship with God but both parties must give for a good relationship. That's his law. You can't receive without giving. This might seem like a rant and it's 50% but still genuinely curious. (Athiest please refrain as I'm trying to understand from a long term Christian or someone well versed in the Bible and etc)

If God doesn't want it to happen, it won't. What you're having is a "crisis of faith" as you're seeing the problems of Christianity.

Maybe look at Islam and Judaism instead, as they might be more to what you're really believing.

I think I'm just a critical thinker so sometimes I really analyze a lot of religions and find flaws in all. Christianity is more comfortable as my family is mainly Christian. But I always ask questions like these to see if I'm missing something or misinformed

if I make mistakes, I fix them and learn from them

I don't believe that a higher power decides about my life
and even in the Bible is said openly
that God gives us a free will so we steer our lives
and we can prove we live as we were taught we should live

What are your thoughts on free will and fate? You can work hard and hope to achieve results but that doesn't always happen. People start businesses and they can turn around and fail even if they put in the work. Things like tech get introduced that nobody expected and makes certain things irrelevant

Depression? You expect god to do a miracle? The way to treat depression is pills.

People go to Chtist because they NEED forgiveness. Many do find peace from god, but mental health needs mental health professionals.

Medication does help some people but essentially that's just suppression of what they are feeling. Once the drug wears off the effects of such mental issues come back twice as hard if not more. The Bible also says you can go to christ for anything. Yet sometimes when we search for guidance we don't always get a clear and unbeaten path

That's valid. Would you care to explain more on why you personally put your negative experience to the side for God? Even when he might tell you no or you experience silence from him? I just want to understand your way of thinking if that's okay.

No worries. I have Faith in God. He may not answer every prayer but He knows what I need and He protects me. When a 9 year old boy asks his dad for an item in Walmart the dad doesn’t always buy it for the boy or may even ignore the request

Understandable scenario. Although life gets more complicated and we often find ourselves asking God for a answer and it's silence. Everyone experiences it once but it's a interesting viewpoint. Thank you
