As a Muslim, how does it actually feel when you pray and connect to Allah?

there are rituals involved with being muslim. and they’re a little based on 2000-year-ago arabia but somehow they’ve sustained eras. i don’t know why and i do wonder about it


so yo answer your question, having to was up for prayer for example, gives a sense of intention whether it’s the beginning of the day or the smack middle of a hectic day or the end. and then the prayer itself gives a sensation of grounding and connection. and then the Friday prayer where everyone comes out— community and connection and unity. same for ramadan—community, self-discipline, health, unity, connection with something bigger


makes me think there’s a secret within the rituals.


nowadays, though, it’s complicated. islam had been a little invaded by weirdos with ulterior motives. even then, the sense of community, unity, and connection has persisted. it’s like a secret language a muslim from eastern asia and one from Africa and one from america and one from australia would just fall into harmonious step like they’ve known each others for years. i don’t know if i can explain it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been muslim or how much of a muslim you are or what color you are, it’s a brotherhood situation




and i mean I’m sure it’s the same in christianity or buddhism, i don’t know

good insights. Most that sounds normal human to me and same, we feel good in groups and having rituals helps ground us.
Ultimately it's about being more focused in the moment that feels good.

I'll get strong feelings of elation at times, from the heart, can go wider. Its not easy to sustain but when doing "Gods" will for others, it is strong. That be caring for others, etc.. It does not work with simple rituals though like giving money or something, that doesn't work.

I’m sure it feels the same as when a Christian or a Jewish person prays. Why would it feel any different?

Thanks for asking. I don't know I'm not another religion I only know Christian, so that's why I wonder. One can assume, but I'd rather ask people to see what they experience.
