Have you ever had a paranormal or unexplained experience?

I'm not looking for arguments about whether the paranormal is real or not. I'm simply curious about your personal experiences.

What happened, and how did it affect the way you think about the unknown?

Yes, I was crossing a highway one night and I was hit by a car. It was not a head on hit but it was enough that I was sent flying about 20 feet. When I hit the ground I knew that more cars would be coming and I would get run over and killed. I just closed my eyes and waited for the end. I remember thinking it would not be a bad way to die if it didn't hurt too much.

After a few seconds things were quiet, I opened my eyes and it seemed like the world was bathed in this weird light. It was like a big sodium lamp. All the cars were moving in slow motion. I was able to get up and run to the other side of the highway. When I got to the other side i turned around and everything was back to normal.

The weird thing was that I could sense others that had the same experience.

I never knew what happened but there was a TV show called The 400 where someone experienced the same thing and I wondered if one of the writers of the show experienced it as well.

I've seen lights move in weird patterns across the sky. I've watched what looked like boat navigation lights without a boat race across the sea at speed in total silence. I've seen shadowy shapes move across the land at night and heard voices where there should be none.

At home I grew up listening to people moving around at night, footsteps, creaks, things moving, things saw in the corner of my eye. Isn't that odd to find small items on the floor far from their original location.
