Not at all , the Bible is all about a man and a woman falling in love and to get married and stay loyal to each other. But unfortunately with the way the world is today with social media , and feminism and the red pill movement , traditional relationships are becoming a thing of the past , because people have become very selfish thinking the grass is greener on the other side. So unless you are a firm believer in God and your partner is as well , then you more than likely will experience a long lasting loving relationship with someone , otherwise you will more than likely end up divorced if the both of you aren’t on the same page with things. A marriage can be a beautiful thing if the both of you choose each other over everyone else and everything in this world and give your faith to God , if you don’t allow yourself to have faith in God. And choose to be selfish and tempted to betray your partner and not promise to make them your top priority the same way they should promise to do for you as well then the chances of your relationship lasting is a very slim chance Sadly there are a lot of liars and selfish people on this planet , that only want what’s best for themselves and only really care about themselves , so those people will never experience true love because they are selfish and do not have faith in the lord or believe in the Bible. Marriage isn’t just a vow to each other it’s also a vow to God , that the both of you are going to stand by each others’ side and trust in him to lead the way , through the good times and bad times, God says the only way you should leave your partner is if they cheat on you or physically beat you and bring constant negativity into your life by lying and stealing from you , that’s the only way God will accept that you leave your partner , otherwise he states you should stand by your partners’ side no matter what. Sadly society has ruined that by allowing temptations and the Devil to interfere , as well as social media brainwashing people to think grass is greener on the other side. Love continues to grow between 2 people that constantly choose each other , it doesn’t grow if the relationship becomes one sided. A Man and woman’s top priority should be God then each other, a man’s role is to be the leader and the protector of his wife and kids’ the woman’s role is to care for her man and stand by her husbands’ side , then the kids’ and then family and friends’ which should come last not the other way around , if you want to experience true love. God puts us through trials and tribulations to help us grow and to teach us the ways of love and life. it’s not always going to be perfect because nothing on this world is perfect , mainly because we have the Devil lurking around us as well. I am not saying you can’t fall in love with someone unless you have faith in God but God is the main reason Marriage is a thing. People that don’t believe in God decided marriage can be a thing without him as our savior. And that’s their choice and decision if they choose to live that way. God has given us freewill why Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins. I am not pushing religion onto anyone , this is just what I believe in and how I look at marriage and love.

1 moThe Bible does not teach that singleness is universally “better” than marriage. It teaches that both can be good and honorable callings. In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul explains that singleness can allow a person to serve God with fewer divided responsibilities, but he also affirms marriage as good. The point is not that everyone should remain single; it is that neither marriage nor singleness should be treated as a lesser life.
Personally, I am content being single, and I do not believe a person needs a romantic or sexual relationship to live a meaningful, faithful life.

1 moYes, but also no. "“... It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman." Corinthians 7:1
However, paul goes on to say " But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. " Corinthians 7:2
"But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry..." Corinthans 7:9
In other words, Paul is saying It's better to stay single, but because so many of you are bitches who can't control your little peckers, you should get married and have kids.

Looking at this sequence of quotes, It's funny to see how the goal of marriage didn't seem to be about growth, love or even morality. Instead, it looked like an odd quest to strap and strangle libido in all cases but one. The 7:9 in particular seems to consider anyone is just a kid having tantrums about sex lol

There’s something important about how the Bible was written that critics overlook. There are sixty-six books and each is written from a different perspective because people are called to God in varying ways. Furthermore, each true believer comes to serve God in their own way. This is part of why the book appears to offer conflicting instructions.
Some parts suggest marriage and loyalty. Others suggest celibacy. Although none promote giving in to our sexual impulses, particularly outside of marriage.10 ReplyIn one of his letters, Saul of Tarsus, known to Christians as St. Paul or the apostle Paul, says that he would rather men be like him: ie single. He goes on the that if a man must marry, marry only one woman. I am not a Christian but you can look this up and find it fairly easily. Know also that there is a reasonably good argument to suggest that he was gay and that was his real objection to marriage.
00 ReplyI dont know if it teaches that or not
It might be teaching we are all one conscious in our own body
It teaches that God is within each one of us and we are to do what he does and that is create and when it boils down to it the only person you have in this world is yourself and our God within00 Reply
1 moNo. You’re thinking of a famous phrase by Saint Paul: “It’s better to marry than to burn.” Marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God. What St. Paul is saying is that people are going to get horny, so it’s better to relieve your sexual impulses in a monogamous relationship (which at the time always meant marriage) than to be promiscuous and burn in hell. The Bible does not say it’s better to be single.

1 moThat teaching is for the people that can, marriage helps with many things, including companionship, creating a family, motivation and even has effects on your life that can be life-changing, it even helps people from falling into adultery, but singlehood is recommended to those that can actually live that way.

1 moThe Bible says a lot of things; contradictory things, wise things, weird things injected by men and rulers. I believe the passage you're wondering about is Matt 19:10, where the teaching is remembered as " it's better not to marry than to divorce". That's a loose quote, so don't take me to task on it. I'm not interested in interpreting Biblical verse.

I disagree. People can certainly misinterpret or misuse Scripture, but that doesn’t mean the Bible teaches whatever someone wants it to teach. Christians have debated difficult passages for centuries by examining context, language, authorship, and the rest of Scripture—not by treating the text as infinitely malleable.
On the specific question, Paul does say that singleness has advantages for serving the Lord (1 Corinthians 7), but he also affirms marriage as a good gift from God. The Bible doesn’t teach that every Christian should stay single; it teaches that both marriage and singleness can be honorable callings depending on the person and their circumstances.
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 moThe bible teaches that two people should be equally yoked. And that God should be at the center of your relationship.
If you read that as you should stay single, then you probably should.

No, one sentence not a whole sermon about how you are stupid and blind and all that shit! You probably just throw those rude little comments out there to see who you may offend enough that they will say something. If that doesn't work you'll lay a little woe is me and my hell bound ass because you don't believe, so some fine Christian will come along and attempt to lead you to salvation. So then you can spring the devil on them.
Lol, you are pitiful!
I don't subscribe to a religion. I happen to know God, His Son. Don't think just because you were unable to meet God that it's an impossibility. Heh, no, don't be so arrogant to assume that you are gifted with such superior intellect that there's nothing you've missed in the way of seeking God. I know you missed out. Don't continue to portray the fool for me. I know you are without.
Heh...
