he prays they do not see through him

they confuse as well as transfix him

their limits are tested & often seen within him

Sometimes he’s macking

but mostly whacking

a habit of slacking

that trickles down into the womb of his own self contempt

There’s no rest for the wicked

but he could seemingly rest all day

Snoring the blues he chews seeing you & seeing you gone,

dreaming thoughtfully of the imagery you brought along

What will he do?

What will he be?

I guess time will tell but his inner cynic

likes to act

as though as already sees.
