How to have an interesting personality?

How to Become an Interesting Person

You'll see a lot of G@Gers complaining how to catch the attention of the other sex. "How do I make him want me?" "How do I get a gf?" "How to make my crush like me?" and many others like those.

This Take is specifically for them.

What makes an interesting person interesting? Why are some people more approachable than others?

It not NOT specifically to make you APPROACHABLE. It is to make you INTERESTING and LIKABLE by all - not the other sex in particular.

1. Be Unique

How to Become an Interesting Person

Uniqueness itself is an attractive quality. You're different, one of your own kind. New to others and unpredictable. It's keeps others guessing about you and it is good

2. Adapt to Circumstances

How to Become an Interesting Person

Okay, this might contradict the first point, but you need to learn to adapt to every situation. If someone else does something in a certain way, you try to learn it and adapt it go yourself. Imitate the good qualities.

Trying to break social stigma is good - but degrading your skills to do so is not a good quality. Just cause you're a guy, you don't need to learn to cook - NO. And just cause you're a girl and you don't want the social gender roles to apply to you, you don't learn to cook - NO.

Those things don't make you attractive at all.

3. Have a Good Sense of Humour

How to Become an Interesting Person

Everybody loves to have a laugh every once in a while. Develop your sense of humour. Sometimes even the stupidest of comments might make the other person in front of you laugh. Learn when and where and how to crack jokes in a polite way.

*SARCASM* - not everyone can understand sarcasm, so make sure not to be sarcastic all the times.

Everything has a limit, so does being sarcastic and goofy. Learn your limits.

4. Adopt a Hobby

How to Become an Interesting Person

A hobby is a direct indication that the person doesn't waste time idly and loves to do something to pleasure themselves (all you filthy minded people - this is not that kind of pleasure).

You can have music, drawing, outdoor games, programming, gardening and many other hobbies. Choose one that's suits you the most and cultivate that culture.

5. Live your life as if it were an RPG

How to Become an Interesting Person

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

OK. I meant, live your life in an adventurous way. You don't know what the future has for you. You don't know if you're gonna see tomorrow's sunrise. So live everyday as if it were your last (don't blow up all your money on gambling saying it's your last day).

TAKE RISKS! You'll never succeed in life if you never take risks. Make the move. Take your chance.

Excel in a certain area in your life. Just like in RPG. Don't bother balancing everything. Life's too short to make all ends meet. Excel in one aspect. If you're good at soccer, give it time and improve your skills. Who knows someday you'd excel Pele šŸ˜œ . If you're not so good at sports but are quite adept in certain studies - improve in those fields. It'll help you in your life.

6. Cultivate Healthy Habits

How to Become an Interesting Person

No one likes a lazy dumb couch potato. Be healthy. Pick up healthy habits. Be neat and clean. Be tidy. Drop all your bad habits - nail biting, smoking etc. Exercise regularly. Eat healthy food and cut down junk foods. Lead a healthy lifestyle.

7. Have an aim in Life

How to Become an Interesting Person

Don't be a vagabond. Set goals for yourself and try to achieve them. Dream big, dream real. Don't be a perfectionist, be a realist.

8. Maturity

How to Become an Interesting Person

Everyone appreciates maturity, BUT, there's nothing wrong in slight childishness and immaturity. As long as it's for fun and you know when to act serious - it's fine. Just don't overdo it.

9. Be Mysterious

How to Become an Interesting Person

Don't be like a Facebook page šŸ˜‚ describing all your features and your flaws to everyone. Don't be too predictable. Be mysterious. Keep others guessing about you. This has two advantages: 1) You're unpredictable 2) You're not vulnerable

The more others know about you, the more vulnerable you are.

10. Be Assertive

How to Become an Interesting Person

Stand up for what you think is right. Have your say. Fight back against anything wrong. Doesn't mean that you go on picking fights with everyone. Stand up for yourself if someone tries to oppress you. Be a leader & not the following herd.

11. Keep Yourself Updated

How to Become an Interesting Person

Don't be the person who says - "I didn't know". Know what's going around the world. Educate yourself. Keep your knowledge up to date. Don't lag behind others.

12. Be Polite & Generous

How to Become an Interesting Person

Be polite. Be generous. Be kind. Be compassionate. Don't be a dick.

13. Never Shy Away

How to Become an Interesting Person

Learn new things. Develop a broader mindset. Have a positive attitude towards life. Even if you hate something - try to learn more about it with a positive attitude. Hoping to find out a reasonable explanation to contradict your hatred; not to search for more flaws to criticize that something.

There it is 13 points to make you an interesting person. They aren't in any particular order. If you're unlucky enough (unlucky 13), you'll become more interesting as a person and will be more approachable soon...

One last bonus advice/opinion (just to make it even)

Don't believe in superstitions. It's unattractive (Ironic, isn't it? šŸ˜‚)

Nah! Coming to the actual point - being passionate about something is good, but being obsessed isn't. Of course some people will like you eerie obsession with anime or Call of Duty... But not all. Being passionate is good. Being obsessed isn't! Similarly, you smoking might be attractive to a few, not all.

Everybody has different tastes. You can't please them all. So don't try and overdo things.
