Search Results: giving out my number

I have gotten a job working at an event, however they have me doing poster rolling and working in the gift shop for 11 hours a shift. It’s for a really cool event although I am struggling to decide if I should stay or quit. I originally took the job while living abroad and planned to stay the full 2 months as it’s a 2 month temp contract, but now I unfortunately have to leave the uk and go back home to Australia. My first shift is meant to start in 2 days but I am leaving to fly home in 5 weeks. I will be giving them my one week notice but I’m not sure if I should still work a few shifts to get the company on my resume and so they aren’t put out by my last minute notice for the shift in 2 days, or if I should just quit now and enjoy the 5 weeks of no work and further travelling before I have to head home.

To add to the dilemma my national insurance number still hasn’t been approved so even if I do work it is going to be a long wait until I can receive my pay. And I am unsure if it will be approved before I need to head home so I don’t want the 11 hour shifts to be for nothing. They might be able to still pay me but am unsure if it’ll take deductions due to not having the insurance number.

It would be good to get this job on my resume as I want to continue working events in Australia. Ahh I’m so confused. Please help!
