Search Results: keep things professional

I think mental health and mental illness needs to be talked about more in today's culture, and social media is a good place to start. I've seen many people on G@G talk and ask questions relating to mental health and mental illness, and I've seen people on this site including myself help people with their mental issues, which I think is a great thing. I know that there's a "Health and Fitness" topic but people usually if not always talk about physical health on that topic and I think there should be a topic exclusivity for mental health. For who are going to say "They need to get professional help" or "I't going to be filled with people who just want attention", well there are a lot of people who genuinely have mental illness who can't get professional help because he/she might not have the resources to get it and/or their mental illness keeps them from getting proper help, I know because I'm one of those people. What I'd hope would happen is that it would create a butterfly effect and get more and more people to talk about mental health, get people to be more open with mental health, and we can eventually have more universal ways to dealing with mental health. Who knows, maybe we can make a world where social media can actually help with mental issues instead of causing and progressing it.
