The weird mix of the Philippines gives it less culture shock value also because of westernization and the lack of artistic fusion, it makes everything "familiar" and just direct imports losing it's culture shock value. Pre dominantly a Christian nation, the identifiable Spanish influences with obscured diversity suppressed and stereotyped by capital cities. That's why a lot feels unmixed and with Christianity and westernization being the dominant culture. But still, we get plenty of historically Chinese and now Korean migrants and investors, many Islamic groups from the south even moving to the north, Asian style street foods, wet markets, diverse outfits, Asian style sky scrapers, poverty, noodle dishes and rice everything with people generally looking like Austronesians also the dense city crowds, and loud motorcycles everywhere. That's why it gets plenty of mixed opinions every time. But either way, don't mind. They're all cool.

Milk chocolate with pistachio butter and kataifi pastry

Based a setting I'm making for a story, I'm getting more attached to Europe's grand art style trying to take inspiration from them. Usually they're done in cathedrals or palaces but usually more elaborate in churches/cathedrals. Fascinated by how they started out as just castles then suddenly became that sophisticated.

There's more like Georgian, Classical, Renaissance, Byzantine, Medieval, Rococo and more, but I can only add 7 of them.

Personally, i'm a fan or Romanesque, Gothic and Victorian for different reasons. Romanesque for it's simplicity and I really appreciate the stone texture arches, victorian just looks cozy and Gothic for the colors despite the dark atmosphere.

I'm more used to seeing those european style gothic and baroque cathedrals but then when i searched for images about our old churches, I thought it looked "temple like" at first but also distinctly Christian. I can see those bell towers scaled down into a garden decor. A recent earthquake here destroyed one of them. Then rural people chanted and doing rituals like a folk religion fused with Christianity. I never thought they still exist.
