Everybody loves a Hamburger, but what about a Hamburg/Salisbury Steak?

Hello fellow burger connoisseurs 😂. We know a hamburger is always a possible item on the menu when deciding what to eat but what about a hamburg steak? They're both meat patties just with different accompaniments...

In Germany, its eaten with mash, gravy and some vegetables, in Japan they have it with rice. Do you think it is or would be as enjoyable as a traditional burger? Or is it the combination of the buns, pickles and sauces that make a burger irresistible 🤣.

Salisbury steak, aka a hamburger without a bun is pretty common here in the US. And it's pretty much eaten like a ground steak with some sort of potato and vegetables. tastes good to me. But now that I think about it, I haven't had one in a long time.

Salisbury steak can be a good meal with mashed potatoes and a veggie.
in the civil war a Dr. Salisbury created it as a healthy food to help with digestion.
But in WWI the Salisbury steak took off because a hamburger sounded way too German.

Salisbury steak was a very familiar meal in my parents home and was very tastie. Haven't had that in my home in a very long time, but this reminder might be just what I need to make that for dinner soon.

Chopped steak with meat chopper is was used before meat grinder was popular to make milk cattle meat edible. Milk cows if fed with with hay or grass have tasty meat that isn't tender and need to be slowly cooked over a long time or chopped.

I think chopping steak meat that comes from meat cattle is counterproductive in matter of taste, since chopped meat loses always more meat juice and meat juice is the taste bearer.

Salisbury steak is ground beef with bread crumbs, French onion soup and egg added to it. It often uses a lower grade of beef, which is why I don't care for it. I've never had a Japanese version of it but they typically do not use onion soup in it.

I like Salsbury steak once in awhile , homemade preferably, I am not a big fan of the frozen version in stores , it’s not the same. But homemade is delicious

I like meatloaf with mashed potatoes and ketchup on my meatloaf cooked I don’t like Salisbury steak at all
