I’m a bit chill. Guys tend to read that as indifference or apathy; though it isn’t. I’m just not inclined to drama.

A new love interest that I’m currently entertaining told me his ex would start drama because he couldn’t read her mind. He says she likes to argue a lot and he doesn’t like that type of woman. Although i never met her and i’ll never know the real troubles there, I’ve known that men need a bit of that kind of thing in their life to stave off boredom. As problematic as that sounds to me…

He tells me things like who are you going out with and he’s jealous of my neighbors and stuff like that. I kinda really want to know who he follows on social media and what type of woman friendships he has. But it’s just my style that i wait and observe, i won’t outright demand to know.

My question is, do i reciprocate his possessive tendencies? If he’s talking like that does he expect me to act a little jealous towards him? What happens if i don’t? Will he get bored of me? Even if he doesn’t cheat or doesn’t get a second girl, will he try to scratch that particular itch elsewhere…

no. i think that's the general consensus among men. we do not like that at all. though it has to be said that we will be more willing to suffer through that bullshit if she's hot. so that's a worth while trade off.

yeah there seems to be a correlation between "hot" and "crazy". so i think it's not that men prefer drama queens. i think the logic is that hot girls can get away with more crazy so they're gonna be more dramatic. so the logic is: men are into hot girls and hot girls are dramatic. not that men are into dramatic girls.

tho actually you have a point here as well. if a girl is just a "little" unstable and can easily be stabilized by being stoic, soothing and strong as man (basically validating a mans masculinity in a way) that triggers all sorts of reward systems in a male brain xD but i still think being stable is slightly better :D

Frankly I do not remotely care for “dramatic”. No idea what “extra” means. I can only assume it is the same thing dramatic. Personally I don’t enlist the words, “dramatic” or “drama” when describing tumultuous behavior. I call them what they are … a pain in the ass. Equally, I do not care for boring or the passive/submissive sort either. Not even “hot” as I read would encourage me to suffer through any of the aforementioned. I have dumped plenty of hot in the past for the reasons given. Sure attraction is important - both ways. Going beyond that, have a decent personality and have her own constructive thoughts and perspectives. I don’t need a “yes woman”. Just as I do not like being surrounded by “yes men”. Still, have the fortitude to have her ideas challenged and not take it as a personal dig as I certainly will not when the same is done by her to me. …and be effing happy if not down right funny or even goofy by nature.
