This isn't a desperate attempt to find someone, I'm just curious what qualities, physical attributes, or talents really stick out in someone.

Four months of trying different online dating services and finally started to correspond with people I was interested in. When I did this about 5 years ago, girls wanted to meet in short order. These days they seem to want to wait and (IMO) get flaky when we make plans to meet (self conscious?). I met a girl last weekend - we had corresponded through the online app a bit and met for coffee. I really enjoyed talking with her and didn’t realize it until the coffee shop employee apologize and said they were closing (time flew!). I don’t remember too much about her physical attributes (she had a nice smile, which I find attractive) and yet we have been texting a lot each day since meeting. She seems pretty amazing from the thoughts and perspectives she shares. Sure we corresponded before meeting, but five days after meeting I’m thinking this girl is pretty amazing! Has anyone else had this experience? I mean, I plan to take things slow, but I’m wondering if others have gotten lucky meeting someone they really connected with so quickly? Is this something to be concerned about? ... not really looking for more short term relationships, want something lasting. Can that start this way?

You always see it in movies, tv shows or read it in books. Two people (mostly male and female) are instantly attracted to each other in the same way. However that seems to be more of a fantasy that people wish were true. In real life, it's mostly the man who is attracted to the woman at first because of her looks and then later on perhaps the woman will become "attracted" to him but not in the same way he is attracted to her because the man is attracted to her physical beauty at first while the woman is mostly drawn to him for his non physical attributes.
