My question is simple & open for this discussion of course.

You fall in love with a friend of yours, you let them know how you really feel in the last couple of months, but they never thought of you being more than just a friend, & they definitely don't feel the same way too, specially when you know you almost have 0% chance of being more than friends. Even if that feeling has been for almost a year now. And it's almost impossible thinking about that person as just friends anymore no matter how hard you try to convince yourself there isn't anything else.

You love & care so much about that special person it seems impossible to let go. What would you do in this case?

Please consider that staying friends with someone you love might have several consequences on your futur life when being in love with someone that hard.

1- it will eat you alive frome the inside knowing you have no chance of becoming more than just friends.

2- you'll be hurting yourself everyday specially when the day comes & you find them with someone else so it might kill you emotionally.

3- you will be hurting only yourself thinking about that person everyday & keeping them all the time in you mind & heart when that person barely showing signs that they care about you not even 10% of what you're showing to them.

4- if you stayed friends it will be so hard for you to find someone else & if you did, you might ruin that relationship because of your love to your friend.

5- this friendship causes more harm than good

In Norway there's a huge debate going on now where the left-side thinks both "plane-", "meat-" and "junk food shaming" is necessary.

Plane shaming is the goal to give people bad conscience for travelling with airplanes because of they're polluting. Both meat and junk food shaming is the same thing, but meat shaming is also about animal's rights in addition to the climate debate and junk food shaming is to make people eat healthier so less people gets sick. Sick people costs the government a ton of [tax] money because of we've "free" universal healthcare. There's a movement called "Kjøttfri Mandag" that's all about eating less meat and that's also a movement gradually becoming more popular.

Are you agree with the left-side that plane-, meat- and junk food shaming is necessary? Please explain why. #ClimateCrisis #NoMeat #PoliticalCorrect

My Opinion:
I think there's possible to discuss the climate crisis and find a solution without shaming or bullying people for their lifestyle choices. Yes, there's very many people who eats meat and doesn't want to become vegetarians. Is it right to bully them, telling them to be ashamed of themselves and should get bad conscience? No, I don't think so. Instead you should focus on yourself and your friends may join your lifestyle if you can show them it's good without shaming them. I think educating people about the environment, a healthy lifestyle etc. would affect their choices more positively than shaming them.

I'm a leftist myself, but I've stopped supporting the left-parties because of restriction of freedom, this shaming movement, family politics, some education policies etc.
