Note: I’m not necessarily referring to discrimination by race/ethnicity in the blatant sense of hanging a “no blacks allowed” sign outside a shop.

— I got an email from my university saying they’re launching a new program for “students of color/ LGBTQ+ students/ First generation college students/ Religious minorities/ Students with disabilities” and essentially stated you had to be in one of those categories to apply. The program is to help introduce students to faculty and promote relationships for the future.

— My school has a study lounge for black people only.

— Some have argued affirmative action is a form of discrimination.

Assuming that these are, by definition, acts of discrimination, are they justified? What about discrimation in the broader sense? Why or why not?

Prayer studies have shown time and time again that prayer doesn't make a difference. For example, people going into hospital for surgeries don't have an improved chance of recovery just because people pray for them.
Now, if you believe in prayer, that's fine. I'm not here to convince you that you should stop. However, since praying (even from the point of view religious people) is really 50/50 since they take the approach of if it works, great God is wonderful and if it doesn't work then it's because God works in mysterious ways.
So when there has just been a crisis or tragedy or natural disaster or terrorist attack or whatever, people pray. Who does it really help? Doesn't praying benefit the person who is praying more than anyone else? They feel like they've prayed, they feel like they've taken action to help, they feel like any form of relief or positivity that happens from that point forward is ultimately related to their act of praying.
So, can praying actually be viewed as an act of self-comfort and ultimately as selfish rather than being altruistic?

I am currently in a situation where i don't have a lot of energy to spare but a lot of idea's to share, so before wasting my time on things people do not care about i would like to know if there is an interest for a MyTake series based on my personal world view and things i have learned in my own self growth.

What will it be about?
The series will be on a variety of subjects i find interesting to share at the time mostly spiritual or political in nature. It will largely address problems that i see around me, why these problems exist in my view and will give you direct solutions to these problems to consider.

Idea's i have for the series are as follows:
- What i learned about having your mind full and the simple trick to debloat your mind which will reduce stress, trauma and other negative aspects of having undealt matter in your subcontious.
- How i see the world from a spiritual perspective regardless if you believe in something beyond science.
- What is wrong with the educational system and how you can fix the issues.
- Who is really behind these bad movements in a consistent matter throughout history, no matter the monetary system. Nazi's, Communists, etc its actually all the same thing and its still going. This take will learn you how to detect it within a movement and will prevent you from falling for it again.

What it won't be about.
I will do my best to avoid any sort of condemnation of your political or religious views nor will i aim to act negatively towards them. Instead i much rather present my own idea's in a much more positive and constructive manner, explaining why i see them this way based on the assumption they are correct since it does not matter if the details are correct, its all about the underlying insights that allow you to see the world and yourself in a new light.

Attorney General Sessions declared Monday that the Department of Justice will be creating a religious liberty task force because, "in recent years, the cultural climate in this country—and in the West more generally—has become less hospitable to people of faith. Many Americans have felt that their freedom to practice their faith has been under attack." In his speech he pointed out the sorts of things we can be guaranteed, "He [President Trump] declared we would say “Merry Christmas” again." XD but seriously, he points out that he's insisting the free exercise clause includes both the right to act and not act in accordance with deeply held religious beliefs. In particular he's talking about ensuring these rights to "act and not act" within the public domain specifically referencing the gay wedding cake incident, religious employers having possibly having to fund contraceptives that they disagree with, and equal advertising space for a Catholic group wanting to display a religious message (they were denied by the advertisement company).
