I know most people want an equal relationship, but this is just a hypothetical question since the gender roles have been called into question when it comes to dating. Would you mind switching traditional gender roles with your female partner?

That means you aren't dominant in anything. You don't get the last word, you hardly initiate sex, you may not work, possibly the stay at home parent, you are not the head of household, you take your partner's last name in marriage, but you don't have to pay for dates or anything, and if you do work, you make less money than your spouse, but do not control the finances.

In other words would you mind, traditionally speaking, being the girl in your relationship? Not like in sissy way, but just that you don't wear the pants. Just asking if you would mind it at all if that's what SHE wanted.

I feel like I see a lot of conservative leaning or ultra conservative guys my age.. but most girls my age seem really liberal. Or else just completely apolitical.

I don't really care much about politics.. but I'm starting to more so the older I get. In a lot of ways I'm very open minded but I feel like I have a lot of traditional beliefs, which a lot of people might not realize.

In the end I'd consider myself a mostly moderate, but maybe somewhat right leaning libertarian.

I'd consider myself very conservative when it comes to the economy. One thing that frustrates me about my generation is how we seem to want to have everything handed to us. It seems like we'd rather live in a socialist nanny state which is a complete departure from this country's ideals.

I work hard (whether people consider my work valid or not) and I make more than most people twice my age. It's ridiculous to me to think that I should be punished for that.. so some deadbeat won't have to pay for an education I'd never had the luxury of receiving.

I'm also really conservative when it comes to immigration and foreign policy. People my age have never known anything but total freedom.. so they're naive to the things that need to be done to protect that. We have to be realistic about this country's infrastructure and not allow political correctness to dictate policy.

I'm also not a feminist based on its current incarnation. I'm okay with women being women and men being men.. sue me. I do think women should be allowed to work and contribute but I also feel like some gender roles exist for a reason and allow us to function as a team.. I do not want to abolish that.

So what are your thoughts on these issues? How would you describe your political beliefs? I'd love to hear!
