I don't know if I should because going public means I have to be held highly accountable to regulators and shareholders, in exchange for theoretically unlimited funding and less responsibilities lol. I know that for a pre-revenue deep tech startup (or even one with some revenue), it'd be extremely difficult to go IPO prematurely but by merging with SPAC, I can do it much faster and easier. Also at least in Canada, there's 2 stock exchanges where they allow smaller and earlier stage startups to join, with much less requirements than say the main ones in Toronto or Montreal.

I'm fully aware that merging with such a shell company also means they'll have control over aspects of my startup that I'd retain had I not merged, and while I'm against merging and acquisitions generally that's an exception. Only agreeing to do this because most sources of funding are gatekept to more mature startups and/or don't provide that much money, which my startup would need to truly take off. I did consider going to angel investors, but the ones I found required startups to make 10x the investment within 5 years, while only providing at most a few dozen grand.

I can't even pay 1 full time employee with that, let alone a small team of them; realistically, I'd need a small investment in 6 or even 7 figures, so sadly only going IPO prematurely is realistic. The startup I'm in is automation, which includes AI, but also goes beyond it with stuff like robotics, IoT, MR, etc as I'm wise enough to know the generative AI bubble that began in late 2022 is eventually gonna burst by the end of this decade. I'm also fully aware that going public means certain investment firms like Blackrock and Vanguard are gonna try to force pushing their agendas down my throat, which I'm prepared for by not giving a fuck about them.

However, I hit rock bottom when my liver function test was done on May 19, 2025. My ALT levels were 373, and AST was 319. Both of these are more than 6 times the acceptable levels of 50 or less. Indicating very severe liver damage. This explained why I managed to drink so much, yet not feel drunk, my liver was doing a death rattle, and I would be, soon, if I didn't stop. For the first time in a while, i felt scared to lose my life, I looked back and saw what a coward I'd been. I felt a deep sense of regret, all the people I pushed away, all the problems I avoided, and now it might be too late. I bought a bottle of rum, 1 liter. I poured out 700ml of it and drank the rest. That was 80 days ago, and I haven't had one single drop since. My doctors had given up, not even bothering to schedule an appointment as they knew my cowardly behavior would simply cancel, so I didn't have to face them. After 38 days of absolute sobriety, I messaged my doctor informing her that i took her advice to heart and have removed alcohol from my life, I wanted to come in and get bloodwork done. On July 14th, it came back. ALT levels are 64, AST is 42. My liver healed faster than I ever thought possible, crushing my foolish excuse from before that I was too far gone to heal. With this, I was able to go back on Trikafta, improving my lung function greatly. I got another liver function test done on August 13th, ALT levels are 49, AST is 25. My liver is now healthier than it was a year before I started drinking. I wasn't sure I believed in God, but I prayed for my life to be spared, and I do believe he listened. I'm not sure how I want to celebrate, but you can bet it will involve a lot of family and no alcohol

• Didn’t cover up for the FBI’s and intelligent agencies’ corrupt actions as they targeted Trump and his supporters.
• Didn’t ignore the estimated 300,000 children lost under Biden. The media and other
• Didn’t hide the part of the speech on January 6th where Trump said march “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol.
• Didn’t hide the truth that Trump recommended to Pelosi a few days before January 6th to put thousands of National Guard troops at the Capitol but she declined; Pelosi could have stopped the whole thing if she took Trump’s recommendation.
• Didn’t hide the stories about how Trump achieved peace around the world. Instead of praising Trump for achieving peace, reporters at NPR essentially claimed that Trump is only trying to get other countries to flatter him. Most of the media, including NPR, heaped praise on “the adults in the room,” Biden, Obama, Sullivan, Blinken, and others, even though they made the world a much more dangerous place by building up Iran and Russia. NPR and PBS should not only have lost public funding, but they should lose their tax exempt status because they are essentially propaganda arms of the Democrat party.
