So I just turned 18 about three months ago and my parents have been bugging me about getting a job all summer. I'll get a job eventually but they won't accept it. I also don't drive because I don't want too. They said they were tried of me sitting in the house all day everyday doing nothing. I hang with my friend And my girlfriend a lot. My dad always asks me, "What did you do today" when he comes home and I say I sleep or Snapchat. He's like "did you look into getting any jobs" nope. My mom asks about college and I don't want to do that either. I like being lazy and doing nothing.
My parents are willing to help me by looking at job ads on monster but I don't want a job. I want to be a little kid again. I wish I was like 4 so I can play all day, Sing and dance the ABCs, watch Baby Looney tunes like I used to, Spongebob and other kiddie shows and yes I still watch them but My parents don't know. I miss it when my parents would come into my room, tickle me and say, "Rise and Shine" or "Hey time to wake up, Sunshine and tickle me. And now that I'm 18it's different. My parents are like, "WAKE UP! YOU'RE GOING TO MISS THE BUS AND IM NOT DRIVING YOU TO SCHOOL!!" Or "GET THE FUCK UP AND DO SOMETHING USEFUL WITH YOURSELF IM SICK OF YOU DOING NOTHING ALL DAY" They're tougher on me now then when I was 5. What the fuck. They still pay and give me everything and they used to be nicer. My dad says it's time to grow up and I need to start take some responsibility for myself and he wants to see me apply myself. I understand that but I'm still a kid or at least a teen. They could be nicer and let me take the summer off. I will get a job some day just not now.
