Society and social rules for hundreds of years dictate the man is the one who must chase, woo and pursue a woman if he is interested in her because that is the polite and gentleman thing to do, but if the woman does the chasing and all those same things first, it could mean she may be desperate for a men´s attention and that ain't good. As the man is the one who must those things first.

What is the difference then if a man does it first than the woman does it first? So a woman can’t do the pursuing if she is interested in a guy because that is the man´s job? So if a guy is the one pursuing, there is also a chance the woman could not be interested isn’t it?

Guys, if a woman does that first, will you feel bad and believe she is desperate for your attention? Or indeed there are guys who still in these days believe it is their duty to pursue not the woman?

I am not saying is bad if the man pursues first but a woman can do it too I believe.

Lets take one example a man and a woman in their mid or late 40´s both single, no kids, neither one had been married before and in these days many women are bold, confident and pursue guys first, if you take that the woman is almost in their mid or late 40´s do you think she will behave like a teenager waiting for the grown up guy to go first?

On one hand he tells me about his life, dreams, saying he wants to take me there to his dream places, telling me he wants to cook with me teaching me how to make that and that, I spend the night don't have sex immediately but talk, joke, sometimes we been out together, talking about what we are, saying he would get jealous if I was with someone , we can talk on the phone long and he says he misses me and he knows I am into him.

On the other hand when he talks about what we are he sounds confused and is like we are seeing each other but no label and we both single. We don't have daily communication and lately I feel it is me initiating more, last night I thought we had plans to meet up but he misunderstood and thought I was at a party and called me 8 am saying he would come when I told him I was home he was just like ok goodnight call you later and he never did and I even texted.

I just had enough. I am tired of thinking about him every damnn minute of the day, getting butterflies when meeting him and falling in love with him if he is not there. So waiting all night (not waiting per se but couldn't sleep thinking about him, and I have a life please big family, friends, school, my hobby that is dance etc) until 5 am I had it and texted him and said something:

I am falling for you, I like you you too much. I can't keep it casual while I am getting feelings. I know you said you want to keep it casual, so I think we should stop seeing each other while we are still good and until you figure out what you want.

Did I make a mistake, I haven't checked my phone since because I am panicking not knowing if I made a mistake, I still want to see him but I can't have a friends with benefits situation while in love with him, also I hope I didn't hurt his feelings, I don't know if he will just say ok cool really cold, be mad and say I am too much and a coward for texting, or call and says these things or want to make it serious to not loose me. Do you think I made a mistake?

I am a single woman who is 31 years old. I do want to settle down very soon. I was on instagram and I added this man who is a little cute.

We started chatting and he tells me how beautiful I am. I found it sweet.

Not a lot of men pay attention to me so in real life I was really flattered. I asked him if he wanted to go for a coffee this coming Sunday and he was so excited. Great!

We then started talking more and I get to know him a little bit about what background he is. He has been divorced 7 years ago and lives alone here. No family.
He said that he has been waiting so long for a woman and he feels that God answered his prayers and started calling me his love and queen. I get uneasy. I gently tell him that he doesn't know me yet and we should go for a coffee first. He does all this without meeting me.

Then he started taking my pictures and saving it on his phone background and home screen and send me what he did. Then to top it all off, he puts my picture on the screen of his fridge!

Guys, no one ever liked me this way. Should I give him a chance? Is it normal? by the way, this all happened in a span of 24 hours. I need guidance.
