I know this kind of topic comes up a lot, but my situation has a twist.

About two years ago I matched with a girl on Tinder. We moved over to Messenger (because we both felt we vibed) pretty quickly and had long, positive conversations with a really good flow. After 4–5 days I suggested a phone call, and we exchanged numbers, though we never actually ended up calling.

Shortly after that she said she felt unsure about what she was doing, and the conversation slowly fell apart. Eventually she told me she didn’t want to continue talking, so I respected that and we went our separate ways.

Fast-forward to last weekend: she matched me again. She responded to my opening message with a friendly, genuine reply. She also said she remembered our previous conversations and that she found them fun. She asked questions back and kept the tone light.

I replied 1–2 hours later the same day.

Since then, it’s been around 40 hours with no response, and Tinder shows she hasn’t read my message yet.

If this were a completely fresh match, I’d assume a ghost and move on.
But this is someone where we already had compatibility and great rapport before.

So I’m curious; why do you think she chose to rematch with me after two years?
Even though she hasn’t replied yet, should I still assume it’s a ghosting situation, or is it different in a case like this?

They want me to provide government ID, fill out a US tax form despite me not being American nor doing business there remotely, and provide a cell number. And I checked the stats, which most freelancers there only earn about 100 bucks a month, and only some earning over 1,000 with a fringe minority earning 10,000 dollars! This is even worse than UberEats where I can easily earn 1,000 per month without much effort, and that's with the new laws in my province justifying Uber to pay us less. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's similar to the so-called protections that gig workers get in British Columbia, New York, and California. Anyways, I can earn just as much or more money from Fiverr by instead panhandling or donating my blood to private clinics, or even being an irl freelancer. However, I might still keep my Fiverr account if I get new information that confirms I can easily break past that barrier and earn more money than most freelancers.

Generally just means conventionally, sometimes I see a number of people who I think people would definitely seem attractive say they didn't know (like they thought they looked good due to their confidence but didn't know how others saw them)
