I am contemplating writing a series of myTakes about how guys can overcome shyness and become more assertive with girls. I am motivated to do this for a few reasons:

1. I have a sense that there are MANY guys on this site who are shy and who would like to overcome that.

2. When I was a young man, I was shy AND in college, I was two years younger than my classmates. That made the problem even worse.

3. However, I overcame my shyness. Most women who meet me now would never guess that I had been shy as a young man.

4. If I can help a few young guys to become more assertive, I will feel that I have made a positive contribution to this site.

Overcoming shyness is not easy and it is not going to happen overnight. It is something like losing weight; there are no guarantees but constant and persistent effort over time might eventually solve the problem.

If there is interest in reading weekly installments, I’ll begin in the next two weeks and I think I’ll call my class Shy Guy 101. Are you interested enough to participate? Ladies, is this something that these guys need?

I was told, that in ballet schools there's always a shortage of men. And there are always women. If i go there even just to interact with women in ballet (even if i personally dislike dancing, let alone ballet), does attending ballet make me gay?

i mean where and how else should i meet women? Online dating is the worst place so far. And Language clubs are not so popular.
