I personally believe in equality in the partnerships of lovers but I don't think seeing it as 50/50 is a good way to look at it. I think just both people giving a 100% effort is what's most important. There are going to be common tasks that have to be taken care of on a regular basis that one partner will be naturally better at than the other. So the fact is one person might end up doing 70% of the work for a specific chore or anything that needs to be done while the other was doing 30% of the work. But if they both were trying as hard as they can then it's still being equal. The 70% person shouldn't try less and make their partner go above their capabilities just so the work was split down the middle 50/50. There will be tasks that the person on that job that did 30% will do more than half on a different problem. Being equal doesn't mean we have to be the same. Being the same would suck and be boring. It's nice being better than your partner at something and worse at other things. It's how you learn to grow together by teaching each other.
