My friend thinks if you "play it cool" a woman won't know you're interested.

I'm pretty good at being patient and letting women chase me. If there's a woman at a party or social event I like I'll wait and see if she comes up to me. But even then, once we've had a good conversation, flirted, teased, a woman usually knows I like her at that point right?

There's a woman I really like and likes me, but I can't ask her out because we work together. When at social events when we see each it's almost like a game, we wait to see who can hold out until the other comes and says hi. Once we do though we're always very flirty with each other. One time she even called me out saying "stop looking at me, just come over here!".

Anyway, women can tell if a guy is just being friendly or if he's interested with just one short conversation, can't they? Me "playing it cool" and not flirting and teasing with her isn't going to work is it? It would probably just turn her off too, wouldn't it?
