Radio Wright is a reporter as well as an Online Dating expert, and he's known as the eDatingDoc. He specializes in assisting men improve their online dating experience and get better results, for which he created what he called the 150-date challenge.

Here's the interview we had with Radio.

1. Why do you call yourself the eDating Doc? And when did that start?

Radio: I'm known as The "eDatingDoc" because I can quickly diagnose any online dating “ailment” and prescribe a simple, effective “cure”. I started the eDatingDoc.com site exactly 5 years ago.

2. How do you help men become better online daters?

Radio: I help MEN get “Online Dating Synergy™” into their online dating approach so they attract beautiful & compatible women for authentic, fun & fulfilling relationships. Synergy means two or more things working together to create a kick-ass result not independently obtainable. It’s like walking into a bar to meet women dressed really nice but not talking. If you have both, a nice style AND know how to talk, a guy will get much further. The same goes with online dating. It isn't any one thing that makes the difference in online dating. It's everything working together. You can only get real success when everything is working together. That means synergy between all the parts: photos + profile + username + emails.

3. What is the 150-date challenge and what are you hoping to get out of it?

Radio: To learn about myself, to grow, to have fun, to find out what I’m looking for in a partner & to find that amazing woman.

You know the saying, “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.” Well, what if I know exactly what’s on the other side of the fence? I think that after going on so many dates, I’ll never have to wonder if the grass is greener and my future relationship with be better because of it. I’ll know that special girl is for me because I’ll have a clear frame of reference.

4. What are some of the do’s and don’ts of creating an online dating profile?

Radio: I see SOOO many mistakes. The biggest thing is something I call “taking the edge off”. Take me for example, I could write, “I’m a pilot.” or “I’m a valedictorian engineering graduate.” But that’s dry, and comes off braggish. However if I write, “I’m a pilot & I hardly ever even crash” or “ I’m a valedictorian engineering graduate & I once came in 3rd place in a hotdog contest.” It communicates that not only am I not a slacker sitting at home eating cheese puffs and playing video games all day, I also don’t take myself too seriously, am playful and lighthearted. It also makes it more interesting to read. There are A LOT of other things but that’s a big one.

5. Is it okay to be active on more than one dating site at a time?

Radio: I’d say so. Some sites are good in one location but not others. If you’re gonna put yourself out there. Nothing wrong with using more than one site.

6. Which dating sites would you recommend?

Radio: The main sites: Match.com, okCupid, eHarmony & POF. Some sites are better in certain areas & countries.

7. How does online dating build up a man’s confidence?

Radio: It can put you in front of a lot of women quickly. With the help of online dating, I overcame being shy to the point of thinking I had a social anxiety disorder—to becoming extremely social and having a great social and dating life.

I actually used to get so nervous when I was about to call a girl I met online, I’d turn on music to pump myself up before the call just so I could pick up the phone. Then I went on dates way overdressed and fumbled my words and was awkward. I really messed everything up completely at the beginning.

But the more I went on dates, the more I learned and grew, the more it helped my confidence.

A guy may bomb a few dates - it happens to the best of us. But keep at it
Because there WILL be an awesome compatible woman just around the corner. But you have to be willing to grow.

8. What would you say to a guy whose #1 fear is being rejected?

Radio: Being rejected online is nothing. You send a few emails, some women respond, some don’t. It’s not that big of a deal. You might not do well at first (I totally bombed with online dating initially) but if you take the time to figure out what you’re doing wrong you can definitely meet some amazing people.

9. Is there a difference between online dating and regular dating?

Radio: The process is quite a bit different but after you get on the actual date it’s very similar. It’s easier to meet someone you click with in my opinion using online dating.

10. Do you believe real, true love can be found online?

Radio: Of course! It happens every day. Most of my friends met their girlfriend / wife online.
