so me and this guy have been really good friends for around a year and a half, he says he doesn’t have a crush on me but he constantly flirts with me. we hit it off from day one, the first time we ever spent time together (which was a day after we met) we cuddled in his front yard and looked at the stars and talked until around 2am. and he does this weird thing where he licks my face. (strange ik) and he’s always done that, and he thinks it’s the best thing to bite my neck and collar bone and leave bruises and he’s left hickeys a few times. another thing is, i’ve told him to not bite my neck and such because it turns me on and he just laughed about it and does it anyways. we have a great friendship and he plays with my hair and cuddles me and i do the same to him but he said he doesn’t like me, i just find it strange he does all this and flirts with me all the time if he doesn’t like me. but i do think it might be because of his dad, his dad told him he’s not aloud to date anyone under 16 after he turned 16 and he’s now 17 and i’m turning 16 next year. i just don’t know what to do, i have such hard feelings for him and he acts like he does me too but i just don’t know what to do :(

So I’ve been talking to this guy for the past month. We hang out every single day, spend the night at each other’s places sometimes, we’ve hooked up like 5 times.

Yesterday morning he called me and said he wanted to spend the day together, so we had a breakfast date, jammed in his car, went back to his place, and had some BOMB sex. I had to go to work at 2:30 but he reminded me that we were hanging out at 8 and kissed me goodbye.

Fast forward to 8. I get there, handle of Bacardi, ready to drink for the first time in ages. Long story short, got a little too drunk, to the point where he didn’t think I could drive— I honestly could’ve. I had to be home by 1 because curfew. He made his best friend drive my car and follow me and him in his car to my house.

I’m not sure how this conversation started but during the car ride he told me he didn’t care if I died, and just that he didn’t want me to get pulled over. First of all, what the fuck? I asked him if he meant that, and he said said it again. “I don’t care if you die, I don’t care if anyone dies.” Like who fucking says that? To be fair he did tell me he was feeling really depressed, I asked him what I could do to help him, he said to wait a day and he’ll be fine.

Anyways, after asking him again like what the fuck dude, he said “no, I’d care if you died.” He then proceeded to tell me he has “a lot of love for me.” I feel like he was just telling me things I wanted to hear.

One more thing. We were discussing tinder earlier in the day, and he said he wasn’t about that Tinder life, and I agreed, which is true for me, I don’t have the app. When he let me pick the song on the ride home, he handed me his phone, and Tinder was one of the recommended apps from the drop down list. Also he was talking to some girl named Natalie on there?

Am I overthinking this? Am I overreacting?
To be honest I’m still a little drunk and just overall confused. I’m sure we’ll hang out tonight, but I’m tired of these mixed signals.

For the longest time, he seemed hesitant to talk to me (originally just thought it was because his now ex-wife is the extremely jealous type and she was constantly cheating on him). We had invited him over for Christmas as he is not close with his family and we were having an "orphan Christmas" for all of our fellow military families/friends. When he arrived, he mentioned how surprised he was that I did not have Die Hard on as he knows that it is my favorite Christmas movie. I have never told him this. I usually just sit around absorbing information and try to learn while he and my husband discuss cars. I mentioned that it was odd to my husband and he brought up the possibility of Friend having a crush on me since I'm so hot. I said how hubs has to say things like that since we're married and that I doubted that this was the case since we're happily married and usually more of a "bro" to my male friends. He countered with how he was attracted to me previously when I was in a relationship and he was just my single friend. I kind of played it off and we went back to business as usual.

As the months have gone on we've been spending a lot more time with Friend, practically going on dates with him to dinner and improv shows/movies. At first, it was always the two of them hanging out or the three of us, my husband has been encouraging him and me to spend more quality time with the two of us. We've also given him a key to our home so he can come crash as his living situation isn't ideal. He made comments originally about not wanting to be a "sancho" and was hesitant to reach out to me. I really need friends here so I did my best to open/available to hang out without being pushy/desperate for friends. The first time we hung out the two of us he did his best to stay away from me despite asking me to come see a movie with him. We then went back to my house and he said he was going to leave early but stuck around to talk to me while maintaining distance. I will post an update
