Besides having to pay tuition I find university far more enjoyable that high school these are the reasons why.
- Professors can't be rude to you or treat you disrespectfully like high school teacher can, they have to treat you like an adult. If not they get in trouble, whereas high school teachers usually get away with it.
- You can go to office hours and get one on one help from profs if you need it.
- You are free to do as you please, if you need to pee you can go pee and no one can stop you.
- You can eat anytime you want and you are not regimented like an inmate!
- Your grades usually get higher because you are actually studying things that interest you.
- People are not as immature and catty in university (well most people).
- Professors hang out at some of the same clubs and bars and they watch out for their students, my one prof and his husband told a creepy guy at a bar that "She doesn't want to talk to you and she's coming with us for a nice glass of wine, so don't talk to her again!"
- Better parties
- Better food and more options to buy at school.
- They give out free food a lot on campus... I don't know why?
- It's easier to make friends / you have more in common with everyone in your major.
- Fewer classes per day and longer breaks between them.
- Fewer arbitrary little rules.
