Do you think there are total opposing sides between "the liberal left" and "the conservative right" at the very top? Or is the political party stuff just BS to get us common folk fighting each other for stupid crap, while they all rob us blind, destroy the environment, and amass more power?

In other words, do you think the political parties and real, and do you think those at the top actually believe in their parties ideals? Cause I don't, and pretty much never have.

I've always thought of the US president as the Wizard of Oz (with Trump being the exception). I think after the 2020 US election, it's become more apparent that most of politics are fake and democracy is just an illusion. But I also think some of the people in Washington aren't "in the know" and still think there's a difference between being a "Democrat" and being a "Republican" to those in power, like AOC, and other super-idiots like her.
