Sometimes when people ask "who's prettier" I think they're really asking "who's more attractive." And that's an issue because one of the girls can be prettier but one of the other girls could be overall more attractive being something like gorgeous or beautiful, rather than pretty.
Or am I the one who's wrong?

The way I see it, though these definitions aren't the best considering they use each other in their definitions, cute is youthful and sweet looking. Pretty is a more grown-up version of cute, but still having a young-lady charm to it, beautiful being the next step as the pure-womanly type of beauty. Hot is like sexy but in a less sexual manner, sexy is like hot but in a more sexual manner. Gorgeous is like beautiful but more extravagant, or exhibits initiative or an actively confident demeanor.
Ladies, is there a difference between cute, pretty, hot, beautiful, and gorgeous (etc.)?
Cute is more toward adorable. Us women will use the word cute for clothes, outfits or pets/animals. When you call a girl cute, its like saying she’s adorable
Pretty is the overall appearance. We use it for shiny stuff, clothes that are more classy, or casual chic. Or when you get a new haircut or whatever. Its attractive in a delicate way without being truly beautiful.
Hot is when you want to say that person looks like sex on a stick. She/he is hot. Sexy. Lustful
Beautiful is more when it pleases you mentally and aesthetically.
Gorgeous is just VERY attractive. Like for a second there you lost your thoughts cause you were like “wow... gorgeous”
There absolutely are differences, cute, pretty, hot, sexy, and beautiful each have their own individual values. A person’s overall attractiveness is based on a combination of their value in each category as well as the person making the judgment’s personal preferences.
I personally like cute and pretty, but where i live it is taken as an insult for some reason. For me, it is a high compliment to give. Those who try to look gorgeous (usually trying to look like a Hollywood star) come across as "meh" to me. I like simple, healthy, and stylish, nothing over the top just a comfortable outfit with colors and patterns that complement each other, is the best dress outfit compared to high heels, a large amount of makup, tight dress, and overly volumed hair.
Cute. Babies and puppies are cute. Pretty. This is how you describe a bunch of flowers or what you tell a tell a five year old what her dress looks like. Hot. Just means you want to bang it Beautiful means flawless or classic in appearance, you can be beautiful but not hot and vice versa. Gorgeous is similar to beautiful but mixed with hot
Big difference. Basically, no girl wants to be called cute. Cute is like your neighbor who you might think is cute but only compared to ugly girls. Pretty is put together with feminine beauty. Pretty is something only a girl wants to be. Beautiful is pretty but more majestic in a sense, like a model. And gorgeous is like beautiful turned up to 11, the highest compliment a girl can get on her looks. Every girl dreams of being called a "gorgeous girl" by people other than parents.
That's interesting, because I hear my female friends call each other "cute" all the time. Or they say that what someone's wearing is "cute". Seems to be well-received, generally.
@Dave9623 nope. Girls call each other cute because we're not sexually attracted to each other. It's an innocuous compliment just meant to say we like something they're wearing. No one takes it seriously.

If a guy calls me cute, it makes me feel innocent and childish. No one serious. If he calls me pretty, that’s a meh between beautiful and sexy. Hot is a surprise for me and rare. But beautiful and gorgeous makes me blush 🥰
Gorgeous pretty and beautiful are the same in my opinion, cute is when you have a baby face and act childish a bit, hot is being sexy and desirable for things like sexual encounters & stuff. Again this is just how I see it
No you are very right people can be attractive in different ways I think, not all the same

Yea cute is like pretty beautiful usually had to do with the facial features being asymmetrical. Hot is attractive in a sexy way. Doesn’t need to be beautiful though
