We used to have a lot of fun hanging out with his friends (I am friends with his friends too)
He would smile at me in the halls and make eye contact. (I definitely feel like it was different from the hellos I get from my other guy friends.)
But ever since the new semester started and we weren't in the same class, things moved so slow. He still gives me compliments on stuff to this day. When we are talking, he makes eye contact, but he never makes eye contact in the hallway. I can say it's like we don't really know each other, other then the few minutes when we're talking. Friends can make eye contact with each other in the hallway, so I don't know what his deal is with not looking at me even when all his friends look at me. There was a few times I saw him looking at me while I was laughing and talking to my friends, but it was probably just a coincidence. Plus, he has this close friend who is a girl. That girl has liked him before and he made fun of her once for liking him in the past. I feel like he likes her...

I'm starting to wonder if my crush is asking his friend to check and see if I'm looking at him, because every time we walk by each other in the hallway, he doesn't look at me, but his best friend ALWAYS looks at me and smiles. His best friend has a girlfriend and they like each other very much, so his best friend isn't interested in me. My crush is pretty nice to me, (ex. compliments, harmless teasing, copying things I say, talking about me to his friend (the friend told me), saying I'm really nice, etc.) but he never makes eye contact anymore, and I don't know if he is doing it on purpose. I'm just wondering if his best friend is starting to catch on that I like my crush. Will he tell my crush he thinks that?

VOTE: Literally every time we walk by each other he is looking somewhere else, talking to his friends, or he looks at me for 2 seconds but has no expression on his face. You know there is a problem when you make more eye contact with his best friend who has a girlfriend than my crush who happens to be the most single anyone can possibly be. We've hung out a couple times and he gives me good signs so I don't know what's going on.

LEAVE OPINION: Going off of the whole best friend looking at me thing, do guys ever tell their friends to look to see if a girl is looking at them when they walk by?

My crush has dated zero people, and I'm starting to wonder if he's just so inexperienced that he will only be friendly to me and not flirt. Is he hoping that I will catch on to the signs?

-overall good body language (preening, sits with legs wide open, stroking hair and neck, touching face, etc.)
BUT... Avoiding eye contact, and mixed signals? What is this?

I am really bored of my hair right now and i want to dye it to another color..
Right now i have dark brown medium length hair.. my skin is pale and i have hazel eyes
