Certain days, whenever there was an argument created by him mainly... it always felt like he wanted things his way and if I ever felt stressed out by him... he would promise he would stop caring about me and not speak to me for several days or so. One day he hung up on me during an argument, in which I was explaining how frustrated I felt. Somehow I always felt as if I was in the wrong till I had enough.

My mother by now is aware of all this. I told her. She told me she would rather get hit once (at least a bruise goes away) than feel with mental games and manipulation. According to her, she considers emotional and psychological abuse worse because bruises heal but your mind doesn't and it might take years to get over it.
