Search Results: being ashamed of a crush

Lately I've been really lonely and I've started talking to this guy from my school. I'm pretty sure he likes me and we share everything, I know everything about him - he is such a great guy and I feel so happy when I'm talking to him but we only talk online, on the phone etc however we've never talked face to face. He never smiles at me or winks at me and I feel like I'm ugly or something is wrong with me however quite a lot of guys had/have crushes on me but they have never been my type. He has looked at me a few times before but he hasn't ever done anything. I'm really confused got any advise? I don't want to waste my time talking to a guy that isn't worth it! - that may sound a bit mean but I just want to be with a guy who cares about me, and isn't ashamed to be with me.

OK, so I know I'm a bit of an odd bird. I wander around half the day, humming under my breath if I'm not currently bugging someone who doesn't seem busy with anything else. I do like people, but sometimes I just get carried away with my ideas and wanna process it all so that I can share them with someone (you folks who know and "believe" in MBTI might find it easier to think about me as an ENTP). Oh, and sometimes I get WAY too into classes when they interest me.

Now anyway, I was talking to a girl from my class the other day (let's call her Anne). She's a bit crass, but we were friends at one point. She used to be heavily, and I mean HEAVILY bullied by most of the class at one point, but now they're all over it. She's always told me that I was disliked by most people in our class, and I always took it with a grain of salt. However, just yesterday she told me that the guy I have a crush on is ASHAMED of me being around and "ruining his image", oh, and she said that everybody makes fun of me for "dressing like a pauper even though my parents are rich". Everything she said sort of made sense, especially the bit about my crush (I mean, he's been avoiding me for awhile now). I CAN be loud, obnoxious and quite a bit out there, but I never thought everyone would be this much against me.

Then there's other people I asked about this (I'm not really secretive when it comes to stuff I should keep secret for my own good). They all said that I was the "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" brand of crazy and that they would actually LIKE me to socialize with them more. I never said that it was Anne who told me all this, but they all implied that they knew exactly what my source must've been. They were pretty chill about it, and I didn't really get an air of insincerity from them.

I know some people would say that I shouldn't worry about what people might say, but I do wanna fit in. And I definitely don't want people to be embarassed by my LIKING them.

Hello :) So I'm with this guy, and we haven't labelled what we are because we just tell everyone we are together, we're unofficial. Anyways, I asked this guy to prom in the cutest way, and he said yes :D he makes me so happy, and the hilarious thing is that I used to have a huge crush on him in freshman year at high school. Anyways, this is like his first proper relationship type of thing, so he's a bit slow with these kinda things, and I don't wanna point out everything he should be doing because he's quite sensitive and emotional and shy. Anyways, my issue is that he hasn't invitited me over to meet his parents or taken me out- I've never had this issue with any other guys I've dated- is he ashamed to introduce me tohis parents? Am I not good enough? Its so silly, and his friends and my friends are telling meto chil, but I've never had this problem.
