Why does my crush avoid me?

He started messaging me, after many years being in the same class. I thought he needed help in math or smth, but he also had other subjects. He said he doesn't believe in love, but to me he said his fav topic was love. He said he was romantic sometimes ( he knows I love romance). he messaged me almost every day, liked my pic on fb... Teacher put us to sit together and he tried to keep the conversation going. He always asked if I was going out so he could come, but we never went together. Then, another girl started flirting with him to make me jealous, and he seemed interested in her. but we continued our late conversations. My friend started teasing him saying he should call me where they were drinking coffee and when I heard him over the phone he was confused and ashamed idk. since then he started to reply with short messages and not write me first. After I've told him about the things that girl said, how he knew I liked him and he said to her that I meant nothing to him, he was all polite and said nothing is true, he just wanted to be friends with both of us. He did not sit next to me in class anymore... started to avoid me. I saw him kissing another girl... and one night I accidentally sent him a message- he responded like evr was fine, he even seemed like he was happy for the message. but hasn't wrote me since. I don't know what's wrong why did he start writing me at the first place?

The phone convo destroyed it. Made him feel awkward and not sure if you girls are just playing games. He did like you but got put off by that phone call and teasing. No guy likes that. I'm not surprised at his reaction. He was there yours for the taking and in his mind he was being made a fool of like a joke so he pulled away. Looks like he's moved on. Sometimes you just need to be straight up guys don't pick up on hints. Better luck with the next guy , caused you've missed the boat with this guy. For now anyway.

First you need to see if the girl he was kissing is still in the picture if she is.. time to move or at least give it some time until she's not with him. If she's out of the picture be hnoest with him. He liked you before feelings like that don't just turn off he could still like you but there's only room for 1 girl. The question is has this other girl he's been kissing taken your place and yes it was your place you just didn't claim it. Perhaps your friend liked him or was jealous and ruined it for you on purpose because straight that's what turned him off. He was putting in so much effort and he felt like it got thrown back in his face like it was a big joke probably hurt his feelings and confused him.

But that girl hates me since like forever, she'll be around him as long as she knows I'm interested. And I can't spend my last year of high school this miserable. Something's gotta change :( I can't see him for whole year and do nothing...

Ok here's the deal. who do you think is better looking you or her. don;t answer you know the answer I don;t need to know. If it's you go get your man back ! If it's her and she has many guys looking at her cause she's hot ect. Look for someone else even if it's just making more guy friends she might see you don't care about him anymore and she might end up leaving him alone giving you the chance to try again.

It seems like he DID like you, but that little thing which happened (asking for coffee) probably freaked him out so much that he's avoiding you. This does happen sometimes. Chances are he STILL likes you, but you both need to somehow work out this 'awkwardness' so that things can be as they were before.

If he did like me, why did he kiss another girl in front of me? not just once. yes, he said hello a month ago, but then went to her like I don't even exist. and she hates me since forever, before all of this

I feel that this girl knew that he liked you, and so she took advantage of the awkwardness to manipulate him to like her. Maybe it was sort of 'revenge' for her. Guys know how to manipulate girls physically, whereas girls know how to manipulate guys emotionally.

So you're saying I should risk and confess to him? Or try to let it go? I don't know how to tell him..

I'd definitely suggest you confess to him. See, the situation isn't good anyway. If you confess, the worst that could happen is that everything will remain the same. But there is also a good chance that he may realize what happened and like you back. So if you confess, you have nothing to lose, but everything to win.

Well usually guys don't avoid girls if they like them at that age. That's weird. I mean it would be different if you guys were 13. He probably thinks you're not interested in him. You should try to flirt with him like the other girl.

That's not obvious no offense. I don't know if that's even flirting. I do that with my guy friends. He probably lost interest since he probably never thought you flirted with him/liked him so he moved on. I don't know why you're so shy around him considering you've known each other for years...
