HELP Why is my crush avoiding me all of a sudden?

So basically, last year me and my crush were really close. I felt like he was beginning to open up to me. He would often joke and tease me whenever he had the chance and it seemed like he was interested. However, me being a shy girl, I'm not able to make the first move. But after last year ended, I felt really close to him. Then the new school year came and we don't have any lunches nor classes together. I don't often see him in the halls but when I do, we'd make eye contact but he would ignore me. I'm always with my friend who also knows him. He would say Hi to her and stuff while I'm right there next to her. He knows that I'm there but, he's not saying anything to me. It seems like he hates or dislikes me. It hurts because I feel the friendship among them both. I even feel like he likes her, I don't know. Was he misleading me? Did I expect too much from him? Maybe I misunderstood his kindness for liking me. Even though I want to give up on him, I can't. My feelings for him still lingers... T-T What should I do?

Firstly, you need some confidence baby. You need to work on loving yourself. That's the most important thing in this post. If he doesn't want to be your friend, fine. Still be kind to him and say hey in the hall and shoot him a smile. Be kind, even if he isn't. You will attract a much better male specimen. Or maybe he thinks you don't like him and shooting him that smile might open that door back up.
