Why is my crush all of a sudden avoiding me?

I know I’m not crazy and my gut tells me I didn’t misread his signals he’s been sending my way! I recently started noticing him January-ish 2018 but according to my two friends who are always with me he’s been sneaking glances at me since last year. And I do remember them pointing it to me but I just didn’t pay attention.

And I feel like now that I really started noticing him do all these things like (glances, staring and looking away OR maintaining eye contact, giving me shy smiles or giving me sparkly eyes) he kinda has backed off? And I think he even avoids me now, like he’ll be on his phone when I walk by or just won’t looks at me. But I feel it in my gut that it was something I did that turned him off /:

I tried smiling at him once and he didn’t smile back, he did do a double take and he got red faced and pursed his lips. I think he thought I smiled at another guy standing in line in front of him. Or maybe he felt dumb for not returning the smile hence the red face IDK!! So me feeling hurt IGNORED him by walking smiling looking at my phone the next time I saw him. And then the next time we saw each other he got red faced and did a slow eye roll. And today he kept glancing at me and when I finally met eyes with him he gave me a tight -lipped smile. /: he seems like a shy guy who doesn’t have much experience with girls (I could be wrong I don't know him).

First of all, I doubt you're 25-29. Second: never assume anything. Ever. Truth is you don't know him, he doesn't know you. Whatever happened - happened. You can introduce yourself and ask him for a coffee or back away from daily looking/overthinking/assuming and move on... You'll NEVER know what's on his (anyone's mind) by interpreting random situations and body "cues". I know no one who's crushing hard won't ever listen to this advice, but what the hell. Life's too short for that, you'll find it out one way or the other. Tc, hun! :)

Why are you doubting my age? I’m 26yrs old. And yeah I plan on just talking to him and see how he reacts. I just don’t know how to go about this since I only see him at his job. I really want to know so I know if I should move on. Even if I’m really attracted to him. /:

maybe he is starting to notice that you know that he likes you and he could be trying to avoid the embarrassment.

if he is shy like you say he is maybe the idea of you knowing he is into you makes him feel vulnerable which can be embarrassing

Yeah I think you’re right. When I FIRST saw him I thought he was this shy long haired emo-ish guy working in the back. But then he got more bolder with the maintaining eye contact with me.
