Why would my crush stop saying hi, stop speaking to me and ignore me all of a sudden?

My crush used to be so friendly, he would always say hi and speak to me. He also used to look at me a lot and stare, smile when I caught him looking and he would not look away.

But now, whenever he sees me, he will look the other way, turn his head real quick and act like he didn't see me. He avoids me and ignores me when I look at him to get his attention to say hello.

We are both in our early twenties, if that helps.

He probably sees no point in it anymore.

He could have been saying Hi and being friendly, to see if it would lead anywhere. But if you never gave him any indication that you'd be willing to flirt with him, or entertain dating him, then what's the point? He's probably putting you out of his mind so he can concentrate on girls who actually flirt back with him.

This is it. When a girl doesn't show me a tiny bit of interest in me after I've been trying a couple of times, it becomes difficult for me to try again and again; even if I like her very much. At one point I just quit to be able to get over her and continue life. It's not that I start hating or disliking her, I just can't live with continuously thinking about her, trying to get her attention while she isn't showing any interest.

So the same exact thing is happening to me except its the female that has started to avoid my gaze to say hi and stuff. She’s acting funky. Before she use to look at me to say hi and wave etc she is really sweet and friendly but one day she just randomly started acting funky and now its like she looks to the opposite direction when she spots me in her peripherals. We use to be cool and i know there was attraction between us but for very good reason i never initiated anything. Now its just different and its like she’s avoiding eye contact and doesn’t even talk as a friend any more 🤷🏻. I've asked her if there was something I've do make her feel uncomfortable and she said no and asked y im asking and i made something up because I didn’t want her know what im noticing and she just said “no its all good” and acted like nothing and stood there like a moron while she looked at her phone to do what ever she was doing lol so we just left it at that. Maybe someone can give me some thoughts.
