Do you enjoy hanging out with your siblings? Do you go out like friends? Do you think siblings can be friends?

My older brother is super nice to me but can't say we really hangout except for family events, and parties since we weren't that close because we have different moms. Also we used to hangout when he dated one of my "friends". I did go to his birthday party last year though. He has his own business and a super big house on the lake.

As for my older sister I hangout with her a lot because I never put effort into my friendships when I was dating, so now I basically have no friends. So she is the last resort LOL. We get along but I always had beef with her, since she is VERY selfish and excludes me a lot. Both my siblings are half siblings, which I think strains the relationships, but I do try to keep the relationships good and I love all 3 of my nephews.

I despise children cause they’re obnoxious, annoying, and like the mentally challenged. I absolutely hate kids.

I will say that; before they got married and birthed their spawn, we had an amazing relationship and hung out all the time. So yes, without the husbands and snotty brats, everything was great.

I have an older sister who has stabbed me in the back and thrown me under the bus too many times. I wouldn’t cross the street to piss on her if she was on fire.


I have an older brother who is extremely introverted, a weirdo, who is very much a loner. There is no animosity but the idea of hanging with younger brother does nothing for him.


I have a younger brother who is fairly cool and we hang out every few weeks. He played piano when i sang at my wedding last weekend.

All of my siblings are separated and divorced. Some several times over. I have 5 siblings. No I haven't seen any of them in at least a year now and 3 live in the same county as I do. One the next county over and the other in a different state that I do not know. At some point in my life my heart turned to stone and it prohibits me from bonding to people as others do. This also included my parents. I lack the ability to feel any emotions towards anybody.

My older brother has always been my best friend. Growing up, people always thought we were twins bc of how we behave together. Even though I'm a lot smaller, we used to wrestle a lot untiI I learned how to get him in a half nelson, flip him over and then get him in a scissors move, I'd have him slapping the ground with his free hand and yelling "uncle". After a few times of that happening, he quit wrestling with me, so we got up to all kinds of other trouble together. We always shared the same group of friends, went to the same parties and always had each others' back. I never had any trouble with any guy I ever dated bc my brother would get him ahead of time and say "Hey dude, remember that's my sister you're going out with, right? At 6'3" and 200 lbs, nobody really wanted to mess with him. Now that we're both married and I have kids, not much has really changed for us except now he play wrestles with my kids!

Yep. I love him. Had he not been my brother, we would never be friends, but thankfully I am blessed to have a brother like him and he’s my best friend and a partner in crime, a person I can always rely on.

I get with my brother about once or twice a month when he is in town. He lives in the same town as me, but spends a lot of time traveling and staying with his LDR girlfriend. We still get together a dozen or so times a year.

No, I would not say we are friends. Just siblings. I do have some very long term friends though. People I have known as long as my siblings.

I only hang out with my younger sister. She's the only one who respects me and understands me. Plus, she's the only one who lives in the same country as me.

Yes, I do believe that siblings can be friends and should be friends. We hang out like friends.

I have a good relationship with all but one of my siblings. My brothers are awesome, hardworking and thoughtful, and my little sister is the best, so sweet and smart! The other sister lies and manipulates, so I finally had to set a boundary. I don't care as much about differences of opinion and lifestyle, but I draw the line at lying and manipulating people.

I hardly ever see my sister. I've gone to my parents house like 3 times in the last month... Not one time did I see her. She was there. Just never came out of her room. I'd like to hang out with her more, I always have a good time when I do. I think our age gap makes it a little difficult.

I have a lot of siblings and I see all of them regularly. Some weekly, some monthly. If anything, I think I see my siblings more often than anyone else, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

These days when I do see them it’s purely out of a sense of duty although I don’t really understand why I feel like that. It’s awkward there is little to talk about as we lead entirely separate lives.
