I want to gift it to my boyfriend and he knows about it and told me to just pick something for him (he usually wears everything I buy him).

I like Wilsons Leather jackets, really good quality and nice styles. I picked these 3 but I cannot push myself to pick one.

My previous boyfriend (now ex) expected great/elaborated meals, different soups, creative salads and other desserts. However, the fact that he was demanding and doing little in return (I was working too) to make me feel appreciated got me unmotivated quickly. I started switching back to simple dishes.

I've invited him a couple times to good places (sometimes also spoiled him with a good gift) and he didn't reciprocated. He used to focus on fancy things for himself only, always used discount tickets, wanted to go dutch even on my own b-day, never even gave his own mother a good gift for her b-day and wanted to stay at home on the weekends, doing nothing instead of going out and spending quality time... not move out of the bedroom.

If a boyfriend is acting like that and is a total cheapskate (while his girlfriend isn't) but expecting great desserts and meals to be served isn't that asking too much?

I used to argue with my mother too much about my then boyfriend. She once said ''I hate his guts, if you ever marry him, I'll just fake it, I hate him'' and I didn't know why she was being that hateful. I've spent years trying to prove her wrong, trying to focus on his good qualities. At some point she stop arguing and pretended to be nice, be a hypocrite basically and he noticed it.

End-results:
Everything came to light and yes he was a real bad person from the beginning. He turned out to be worse than my mother's version. I found out elsewhere and on a private conversation that he wanted my parents somehow evicted, to get them to put me on their will soon so he can take over 1/2 of the property. That's one of the many things I found out about him; the others is just as bad.

Unlike the few successful stories of how you were able to prove your parents wrong would you call this a sad ending? Here I am... wasting years of my time trying to get my mother to see the good in him... only to find out he really horrible.
