My boyfriend said he was addicted to me. Is this a good thing?

We've been out traveling for a month together. We live together also. I can't help feeling sometimes I need a break so after our vacation I saw an opportunity to spend time with my parents for a week alone.

I've been there for two days. He already got mad I didn't send a good morning message and didn't send hin messages during the day (I was out with my mom eating and talking a lot) then proceeded to say he was addicted to me. I tried saying back I was sorry but don't consider myself clingy at all, although I still love him.

He has ignored me all day, hasn't asked about my day or anything. I'm really annoyed because he is trying to get attention but I'm trying to enjoy my quality time with my parents the one week we happen to be apart.

Is this normal? Should I consider his behavior a red flag?

Temporary is a good thing specially for intimacy. Passion and chemistry is important.
but over long periods it not healthy. make sure it not unhealthy to the point he controls what you do see and go and jealous all the time And other worry could be won’t let you do things on your own or with family and friends can be bad.

i don’t see anything wrong with wanting a morning text. But Long he let’s you breathe when you go out.
Try keep an eye out for that. Make sure he knows your rules

You need to nip this in the bud. Testing you. Let him ignore. When he messages back you tell him that you are spending time with your family and you cannot stay as connected. All that Im addicted to you stuff sounds nice no doubt but don't pay that sweet talk no mind.

Red flag. Someone requiring that much attention is the kind of person who will get jealous at the drop of hat with you doing anything out of his sight. Then he gave you the silent treatment after you responded. He's trying to control and manipulate by "doing what you did to him".
