Search Results: looking in the mirror a lot

If you don't understand my question then I will cut the bullshit for you: Does anyone else feel that women are viewed as higher beings, or maybe even that men are viewed as lesser creatures? Maybe it is confirmation bias, but I see a lot about men being put down, while women are empowered all over the media. I don't understand why female empowerment also has to mean male condemnation.


Just last night, I was watching The Walking Dead. There was this scene where this guy started to get crazy and eventually was knocked out. A woman in the scene commented "He was in pain. Men don't know how to handle pain".

Another example, I was watching a Black Mirror episode and a woman was talking to a man about a book called "The Singularity" and says "it talks about how computers will eventually outsmart men, like women did years ago".

Another example (although, this is anecdotal), I was at a doctor's appointment and I was telling the female nurse about how I forgot to book an appointment and she commented "Typical boys".

One more for the road, you have probably seen all of these adverts that depict the idiot, lazy, immature boyfriend/husband being outsmarted by the clever, clean-looking, mature girlfriend/wife.

Am I the only to notice this? Is it confirmation bias? Have you noticed the reverse?
