Don't you just hate it when you've been suffering from embarrassing acne since your teenage years and someone starts to tell you to wash your face more often or change your diet? If so, then I definitely understand how you feel. I've been suffering from acne ever since the age of twelve and still suffer from it now at the age of twenty. Sometimes, its hard to to look at myself in the mirror without being embarrassed of these nasty pus-filled pimples, blackheads, and terrible scars that it left behind. I've tried using many home remedies from honey, the Indian clay mask, and rubbing baking soda on face to taking oral supplements such as zinc, fish oils, and detox pills but they only made little changes. I also tried using creams, changing my diet, and washing my face "more often" but was also unsuccessful.
Here are a few things that I hate to be told by people with naturally clear skin:
1. Have you washed your face? I think you should try washing your face more often to remove dirt.
Are you serious? I wash my face three times a day. In the morning before school, after school, and before bed. Just because someone has acne doesn't mean they don't wash their face and it won't make the acne a lot better, it will only worsen the acne. Washing your face too much can cause dryness and skin irritation. I think washing my face two to three times per day is just right.

2. Change your diet or go vegan
It's true that oily food and too many sugar can worsen acne which is why i try to avoid them but there are people who eat healthy but sill get acne. Some acne is caused by diet and others are caused by bacterial infections, stress, and hormonal changes. I'm 100% sure that my diet is not the cause of my acne because I have a clean diet and I drink plenty of water.

3. There are a lots of good acne treatment that you should buy but have you tried using baking soda and honey? I heard it works well for people with skin like yours.

Me: Oh man, here we go again! She's telling me to buy acne treatments and use natural remedies, what am I supposed to do when everyone is telling me something different? Like I mentioned before, I use many acne home remedies but ended up disappointed when I didn't get any results. Some products may work for me and others may work for someone else depending on the type of acne but I am yet to find the right product that works for me.
4. Stop being upset over a pimple
First of all, I don't have only one pimple, I have a face of many pimples. I also suffer from uneven skin tone, blackheads, and acne scars. I know acne is not the worst problem in the world but I'm only human and I have insecurities too. Sometimes the one's who are quick to judge have their own insecurities and negative ways. There are people who have severe painful acne that can't be cure without a professional assistant and it can be frustrating.
If you have your own insecurities and issues, then you shouldn't be judging me or others.

Everyone's body is different and we shouldn't expect everything to work on everyone. Some people may have trouble treating acne and others may be successful. A healthy diet, clean face, and using home remedies or acne products will only do little to no changes to someone who really needs extra help treating their acne. There are many reasons why people get acne but they have to find the root cause of their acne. For those who are struggling with treating acne, i would like to let you know that you're not alone and never give up. Keep on fighting until you destroy them for good. Also find the root cause of the acne which can be helpful when treating them.
Maybe it's time for me to make a trip to the Dermatologist and find the root cause of my acne.

Even though it's not acne, I think completely understand here because my ex-wife had what people all thought was great skin but in truth, she had really bad eczema. To get her skin the way it looked required lots of creams and lots of care on her part. She would be in the aisle at some makeup place looking at eczema creams and someone would walk up to her and ask "Does that work for you? I have really bad eczema..." and my ex would explain that she does too and they'd lightly bond over this issue. There's clearly an entire group of women out there whose struggle is seemingly only understood within that group.
Where I thought it was most beneficial was when my first daughter was born. She too had eczema at birth and I felt my ex-wife was the perfect person to handle it. Baby eczema is pretty common and there were others in our parenting group who struggled with cracking and bleeding on their babies, but because they didn't have this personal experience, they didn't know what it took to keep it all under control.
i have clean skin n when people ask me for advice i tell them "first learn the cause of it "
