Last night me and my girlfriend Jess went to a house warming party. Jess kept giving lots of her attention to another dude. She kept sitting him down and giving him massages with a massage tool. Jess seemed so intrigued with him it seemed like she was following and wanted to keep talking to him. Even when he was talking to others she kept watching him.

Later that night when he was leaving the party Jess jumped in front of him and yelled “you’re not going anywhere”, And was hugging pulling him back into a chair and gave him another massage. I felt uncomfortable but didn’t say anything because I didn’t wanna start a fight. I also feel like it’s double standard because a few months she got mad at me when I was talking to another woman for 30 minutes.

I know if I mention this to her she’ll break up with me. I’ve talked to her before about how I’m uncomfortable with her male friends and she threatened to break up.

Controversial Televangelist Pat Robertson Dies At 93

Pat Robertson, a popular televangelist and founder of The Christian Broadcasting Network, died Thursday at age 93.

Robertson was a prominent figure in conservative Christian political and entertainment circles, and for years promoted sexist, homophobic and Islamophobic ideas on his CBN show, “The 700 Club.”

His death was announced by his broadcasting network. No cause was given.
A former Southern Baptist minister and son of a U. S. senator, Robertson founded CBN in 1960 as the first television network dedicated to Christian broadcasting in the U. S. CBN is one of the largest television ministries in the world, according to Robertson’s website, producing programming in 200 countries and 70 different languages.
“The 700 Club,” which CBN is perhaps best known for, started in 1966 and is one of the longest-running religious television shows. Robertson began hosting the show in 1972 and retired from the show in 2021 at the age of 91.

Robertson founded several other organizations and corporations, including International Family Entertainment Inc., Regent University, Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corp., American Center for Law and Justice, and The Flying Hospital Inc.

The majority of his endeavors aimed to promote conservative Christian values in U. S. education, media and law. The ACLJ, Robertson’s website boasts, “focuses on pro-family, pro-liberty and pro-life cases nationwide.”
Robertson’s upbringing played a large role in his development as a conservative and a Christian. His father, Absalom Willis Robertson, was a Democratic U. S. senator from Virginia in the years before the liberalizing trend that took place in that party during the middle 20th century.

House conservatives block GOP bills, voice frustration in response to last week's debt ceiling vote

House conservatives staged a mini-revolt Tuesday in retaliation for Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s leadership on last week’s vote to raise the debt ceiling, the right wing banding together to block progress on a mixture of bills and vent their frustration.

Led by outspoken members of the House Freedom Caucus, a group of 11 Republicans broke with their party on an otherwise routine procedural vote that threw the day’s schedule — and the rest of the week — into disarray. It’s the first such procedural rule vote to fail in nearly two decades.

The group is among some of the same conservative Republicans who tried to stop the debt ceiling bill from advancing last week and who then threatened to try to oust McCarthy after passage of the debt ceiling package that President Joe Biden signed into law. Short of taking that step, they have demanded a meeting with McCarthy, leaving it unclear how the standoff will be resolved.

“We’re frustrated with the way this place is operating,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., one of the more outspoken members of the group. “We’re not going to live in the era of the imperial speaker anymore.”

At issue is not just a gas stove bill and others that are now stalled as the conservatives wage their protest, but the political standing of the House Republican majority. Is it just a one-day spat that allows members to make a point or a more lasting fracture?
