Would a guy introduce himself despite how his mother felt? Why didn’t he introduce himself?

I was at his sisters grad party. I met his sister once.. my mom and I were invited through her college friend. (His mom)

I thought he was quite nice looking. My mom was going to introduce us since she has known him but she ended up asking her friend to do introduce us. She made up an excuse and never introduced us at the party. She said I’m probably still finding myself and he’s past that. He is a tad bit older… (32) but I felt like she didn’t think I was good enough.

If he were interested would he introduce himself to me despite what she thought?

I think he was looking a bit. He seems a tad shy but not introverted. He’s a frat and he was on the dance floor.

"I felt like she didn’t think I was good enough." Not necessarily. She probably just thought that you weren't a good match. She may have gotten distracted and forgotten about the request. He may already have a girlfriend. Maybe he is homosexual. There are numerous reasons why this may have happened.

I say a “tad” bc he was out dancing on the dance floor and he’s in a male fraternity so I don’t think he’s that shy.

You sound immature like you couldn't get up and introduce yourself. It's 2023. Either you become proactive or you'll be at fault for missing out on potential suitors. Don't be too full of yourself or shy to get up and be active about your own love life.

I’ve never had a boyfriend so maybe I don’t know exactly how dating goes. I was always told that guys are the pursuers so I just thought he would find me interesting enough to even want to come over and introduce himself.

We weren’t sitting near eachother. I was sitting next to his mom.

Yeah but I think it was quite impossible bc he was sitting far away. But also her comment made me feel like I possibly wasn’t good enough for her son

So mom doesn't like you. She's not going to like you any more if he'd come over to talk to you. If you're not going to date someone because their mother doesn't like you then you need to move on anyway.

I feel like the “relationship” would never work if his mom doesn’t think I’m good enough. That puts a lot of pressure on me to measure up to whatever standard she has.

I’m not sure if he’s a mamas boy but she does love her son I’m sure. He graduated from a hard college and he was in a fraternity in college so it’s understandable.

I have things going for myself. Yes, I’m still figuring things out but I’m educated and I’m kind.

But if his mother is thinking less of me already then I can’t compete with that and him not introducing himself makes it no better..

Right, but it's sh*t or get off the pot. If his mom not liking you is the be-all and end-all for you, then move along and find someone who has a mom that does like you. If it's just something that would be nice to have, then go introduce yourself and blessings to your future together. You picked neither of those and ended up with the worst possible outcome.
